  • hi i need ur help,i tried using the gemc, but instead of .bin,it gave .img?itried renaming the extension .bin but it wont work, please help

  • DOES IT WORK IF YOU PUT A ISO FILE ONTO THE SD CARD???

  • hii, i downloaded evrything you said and did it right and the game is working fine^^ the only problem is that i am not being able to use the buttons of the playstaion found on the phone.. i need to use the touch screen!! help plzzz

  • hi i just got an xperia play and bit of a noob with android, how did you get fpse accesible from the slide out menu? i always need to access it on the home screen, cheers

  • Thank you for uploading, helped a lot.

  • Thanks for the vid - very informative. Playing FFIX now but some CG sequences have no sound. Strange, but still amazing. Thanks again.

  • what about an iso file?

  • i did everything it says in metal gear solid i get in game it start great and when it is the time to play the game it lag. what can i do?

  • You seem to like the word "literally"

  • When im setting my controls in FPse how do i do Circle without backing out?

  • thanks this really helped :)

  • REGARDING FPSE, just downloaded command and conquer gdi disc 1, all i did was extract it and paste the bin file to sd card, no ecm extracter no gemc no ice tea... worked a treat got it from rom hustler

  • READ THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!like many people i was downloading games and extracting them only to find no ecm file only 2 files one is a bin file the other was sumit else... any way just for the hell tried pasting the bin file on to the d card without using any gemc or anything,,,, worked a charm on residedent evil 3...... cont...

  • @TheBigboydaz hey mate, you do know i said you only need gemc if you dont get the .bin or .cue files right?

  • im having same prob, mortal kombat 4 worked fine.. but havent got any others working yet.... not teken, or anything..

  • ok i have tryed 12 games now and only 1 has worked and none had cue file what am i doing wrong?

  • @xLooNeyHD ignore all the ecm balls all you need to do is extract it and paste the bin file to ya sd card,,, works with command and conquer, res evil 3 and more, most files cant use gem c as they dont have ecm file. just paste the bin file on to sd card simple

  • @xLooNeyHD try using an iso file type instead. im pretty sure with out the .cue file it causes sound issues which may also affect the game itself

  • that emulator is available free on blapk.... the psxdroid is to laggy.. but you using the best one but its 3 pound on android... blapk ha it frr works fine

  • im not getting Cue file from Imgburn:S?

  • @xLooNeyHD hey mate, sorry for the late reply, try making an iso file instead, this way itll have both the cue and bin files combined

  • I cant find my .Cue file how do I dooooo iiiiiitttttt

  • @colby2987 i have multiple ps1 games and the img burn reads them but they only pop up as .bin not as .cue wut shall i do to find the .cue file so i can comence to playing my games on my xperia play

  • @XXTHECHAMP13XX it should still work but u may get sound issues. otherwise try and the get urself an iso file instead.

  • Which fpse did u choose

  • @XXTHECHAMP13XX theres only 1 lol

  • thanks man so easy to understand :D

  • Easiest tutorial on youtube i reckon :)

  • if youre not doing this by ripping the file by a disc, and are trying to do this by downloading the files, then what do you need? do i need a bios and an ISO and a .bin and a .cue ? so confused as to what files i need!

  • @aGreenCarpet hey mate. dont worry lets help you out. there are different file formats you can choose from as you know...you need that bios file no matter which combination of files you use. the bios is what helps to save/ load your games. the bios is a must! besides that, you have the option of which file types you wish to use. if your going for an iso file, that is the .bin and .cue file in one! or u go for the .cue and .bin files.

  • @colby2987 either option will give u the same game. ive tested this with ff9 disc 3. i can actually alternate between the two and still use the same game file.

  • i fricking did it. its quite hard to do on an old netbook

  • Hey, i found some roms online that came with only a .BIN and not a .CUE. Can you just run it with the .BIN?

  • How do u get fpse on the phone???

  • @TheConnorwoff as long as uve got an android system, just go to the apps search and type in 'fpse'. it should be the first on the list or near the top. hope that helps

  • @colby2987 thanks wasnt free but atleast it works

  • @mandiwoff yeh only downside to fpse..but it should work great for most of the games u want to play.

  • @mandiwoff go on your net on ya phone type in blapk its on there for free.. plus loads of free apps just turn on 'allow outside sources' on ya options

  • what part of my sd card do i put the files in? Should i just make my own folder????

    HELP!!!!

  • @barnibie1 hey mate, just make a folder in your sd card to store all your .bin ad .cue file etc. its just to make searching for your games a million times easier

  • thank you!

  • where did you get the bios.bin

    please tell me

  • @polischz you can get em' of emuparadise

  • @polischz if u havent got this already, you can download it free from the internet or buy it from android app search for like 40p

  • I am getting Duke nukem Land of Babes wid dis

  • @TotallyFunnyCrap good choice

  • it works as a phone?

  • @cah630 indeed mate! google xperia play if u havent already!

  • mine dosnt load wen i press on data.bin it goes to de start page agen and wen i press on the cue file it does the same thing again HELP PLEASE!

  • @snipers116 duude you dont need to click to cue file. thats something to do with the sound. just access the .bin file but dont forget to set the bios in game first time round also.

  • im having problems cos the list of games ive put on my sd card doesnt even show up,

its just a blank screen where it says select iso.

i noticed yours was the same at 6.06.

ive put all different types of isos. bins. cues. files on my sd card hopeing the emulater will pick 1 up.

    please help.

  • @uky0chan hey sorry for the late reply mate. yeh at that point in the video i forgot to remove the sd card from the pc. doing so will actually bring back your menu on the phone if u havent sorted this already. hope that helps.

  • Great tutorial..... But a few problems. I cant change volume in game and also i cant make the circle button on the pad work when setting up the controls

  • @Neilwadders hey mate, sorry about late reply. if u havent fixed this already, just play around with the setting under the controller option. unless your talking about in game controller functions?

  • I return, I'm considering getting the Final Fantasy 7 discs onto my xperia, and I wanted to kniw if the memory from the first disc will translate to the second and so on?

  • @TheMcHammerFace hey mate, sorry about the late reply. yeh, the discs work fine. im currently on disc 3 of ff9. you simply save in game exit and load up your next disc. best thing is it reads it exactly like the playstation and will recognise the previous disc save.

  • Thanks mate a great tutorial, one question though, how do you get to the "fpsx" icon in the Xperia games list?

  • @MRWHITE3535 thats easy! didnt have to do anything, for xperia play it should just add to that list automatically

  • @colby2987

Thanks mate for the reply, but mine doesn't automatically go in there, can you manually do it? I can now play PSX games no problem, also you don't need the cue file in the folder only the bin file,

  • I need help, I have the bin file, and both files for Chrono Cross.

Now CC actually plays pretty well, the CG is smooth and the gameplay for the most part is pretty smooth, a chop here and there during battles. The only thing that's off is the sound, which is chopped and screwed. I have this box that comes up and says HLE mode enabled, no bios set, do I have an incorrect bios file or something?

  • @TitaniumProAce hey mate, what you might need to do is go into the settings, then audio and tick the spu sync if its not on already, then go system to save settings, then restart. i had that issue with metal gear solid when i first started playing ps1 games on the phone. but, just changing that setting should fix your sound problems. hope that helps.

  • You said something about easy?

  • thanks. this is honestly been the most helpful video I've found around, I can now play all the classics on the go. Spyro you're going down

  • this is troublesome as I tried to use imgburn on my twisted metal 4 disc, I waited for 10 minutes without a single percent increase

  • @TheMcHammerFace i had the same issue with one of my games. best thing to do is either give the disk a clean to remove/ wear down scratches, or, search for the rom online. sometimes the old disks just cant be read, happens unfortunately. hope thats helps you mate

  • generally how long does the imgburn process take?

  • @TheMcHammerFace some games can take minutes but at most for me has been 10 mins for a disk

  • where do i get the games for it from???

  • @goldstar1997 just do a search on google for psx roms matey, or preferably use your own games.

  • i cant set the bios file. after i set it and reset it, it says fpse has encountered a problem and must close! i got my bios file from the android market

  • @TheGAAman hey mate, are you also saving the bios after youve selected it and before you restart?

  • @colby2987 thanks for the reply, sorry got it to work in the end i was stteing the bios file before i had launched a game. great help video and thanks again. and also ffix was my first ff, nothing ever lived up to its standards after...

  • ffix, greatest game ever!

  • @TheGAAman ill second that comment! first ff game i ever played

  • There are number of Fpse apps and I dont know which one to buy...

All may not be the same because there are different prices so its confusing me.

  • @saznrai hey mate, just had a look myself just now. you want the app called fpse for android, thats the right one..and the only one there. it should be about £4. its also the only option that shows pictures of games on it. hope that helps

  • OMG THANKYOU SO MUCH, i was ripping my hair out trying to get this to work. SUBBED

  • @nvm1ws no worries my friend, same happened with me which was why i made the video. glad its helped you out.

  • thanks worked . Found a website that has psone roms but they are all rar files or sumfin can i convert them ?

  • @jt243 hey mate, if they are rar they are just compressed, download winrar or winzip and itll be as easy as extracting the files! hopefully after that youll have your two important files .cue and .bin

  • @colby2987 i have psxe but how do you move it to the playstation area as i find it a pain scrolling through the many pages just to find it thanks.

  • @andrewjones1977 hey mate, that might be a question for the makers of it. just so happens in an update for fpse they calibrated it to the xperia play phone. so when alot of people downloaded it, they didnt have to do anything except start playing!

  • @colby2987 ok thanks

  • @colby2987 thanks man i figured my problem btw thanks for help

  • i have a big question and i hope someone will help me so here it is

i have a xperia play and i want to download a game (i know how to do it)

so i downloaded it and now i want to put the game to my SD card but i cant so i download a app called app to SD and there it is apps that can not be moved to exterbnal storage so what happend i have many games but i cant download more cause my phone storage is full PLEASE HELP ME I WILL BE VERY THANKFULL

  • @MisterMoustache14 hey mate, firstly you shouldnt need to download any extra apps besides the installation stufff for your pc, that comes with the phone. the phone is plug and play so when you connect it to your pc it should recognise it. dont forget once plugged in, on your phone using the scroll at the top bar, main page, select the ''connect your phone'' option, then ''connect phone memory card'' then your pc will treat your phone like a usb stick. should be easy as that. hope that helps.

  • @colby2987 but i need apps or games and i tried it what you said and i cant find the games on my SD cause its on my internal storage and when i connect my phone the games/ applications that are on my internal storage i cant find them this is a very hard problem

  • I love the britich accent while i don't realy understand lots of words :)

  • mine working fine but now when i open it stuck to bios file i cant go back to chosse my iso file.help me i uninstall it but when i run bios files are coming but it cant go back to folder (...) help me

  • @hassanar1 hmm theres no reason for it to not go back through menus, sure your clicking the right thing? just tested it now on my phone, should just need to click the '...' to return to the main menu, then select your psx folder from there. im actually surprised ur having that problem of just accessing menus. hope that helps in any way.

  • it works!! thank you a lot!!

  • @ThisTakeOut no prob dude!

  • i see you have metal gear solid . . . seeing as that is a two disc game do you have any problems during the disc change? does the xperia even allow a disc change?

  • @mos1n it certainly does allow disc change! well.. fpse :P atm ive been playing ff9 and im now on the third disc. depending on the game you can select a menu option to change discs or.. making sure you do a proper in game save (meiling in mgs besides an fpse save for fast loading) you can exit the game and start up the 2nd disk rom. once loaded you see your original disk 1 save. hope that helps mate.

  • @colby2987 Thanks, revisiting the classics just got better :P

  • Hey I need your help colby! First of all, thank you! I have searched 6 hours every day for the past 3 weeks to be just able to play games! Now on the other hand, I noticed that I am having trouble to save and load the games. If you press the menu, it says load/save. When I press there, it is still empty for loading. When I save in the actual game like on ps1, it works, but when I load it... The meny pops up and I can not close it and therefore I can not play. PLEASE help!

  • @vodorf ah i may know the problem, once your on the game, you need to re select your bios file. for some bizarre reason some games require you to select your bios file again once your on the game. the bios affects your saving ability in some way. just load your game up, go to select your bios file (1001) and then save settings under system. restart and hopefully that should do the trick. happened with me with mgs and now alls fine. hope that helps mate!

  • @colby2987 hey mate! I just got my Xperia Play! It's awesome... I want to ask you though I already had my PS1 games downloaded from various sites and they are already ripped from the cd's! Do I really have to own the game for them to play? is there any difference? Why do everyone say that you must legally own the game? Thanks in advance!

  • @BlackLegMJ i have a video on how to get all of them free right from there device

  • Wait, is this only for Xperia play or is it for any android? (this tutorial)

  • @vodorf this is for any android phone using the fpse program. only difference is for the xperia play phone its configured :)

  • I read the disk and I cant find where the disk info was sent to

  • I have no idea how to put any of these games on my xperia, :(( what do i need and how do i do it?????

  • @Rusty4799 its all in the video mate!

  • QUESTION: Just to make 110% sure before i sell my psp and spend 200£ getting an xperia play. can i put DOWNLOADED PLAYSTATION ONE ROMS on an xperia without spending hours attempting to hack the phone?

If any one has done it please tell me how its working and whether you recomend it . thanks

  • @domdomdom1993 haha, yes you can put many of the psx games on the phone without much hassle. fpse costs around £4 . not all games are compatible yet but they are pretty consistent with updates. hope that helps mate.

  • is rayman working with fpse?

i try it but it did not work, but i wil try agin, i have se play and i got many games on it. imgburn is best program.

  • @postmann1000 hey, you might have to check if fpse makers have got it working yet. you may find you just need to download an american copy as european disks seem to have protection on them

  • I'm still so stuck :\ i know i might sound like a complete newbie, but do you HAVE to own the discs to play any of the games? i have the downloaded files, and ive followed all the instructions, but when i open fpse i dont actually see a link to the game :S and the top 3 dots just leads me to the sony memory card thing :S confused!! please help, running this on a xperia play too, if possible could you reply as an email on this or on hotmail - dattanikishan@hotmail.com , thanks a lot in advance!

  • @RiKiDa999 hey mate! lets try and help u out here. u dont have to own the games to play them, u can download from rom sites but using your own disks is the legal way! once uve got your files, remember to make a folder in the sd card to store everything. labelling it PSX is prob easiest. put everything in it (roms and bios) and when fpse is loaded (...page), u need to search for the folder and select the bios THEN the games u want to play. ur just missing the last step to take :) hope that helps!

  • @colby2987 STILL stuck :\ i have the files, e.g. crash bandicoot 3, and ive got 2 files in the zipped folder, one is the .bin file, and the other is the .cue file, ive put them in a folder called psx, and ive found that stupid scph1001 file, now i put that in the same folder, and when i load fpse, it says that bios loading is /mnt/sdcard/psxoid/scph1001.bin.. but now im stuck cos i cant leave that bit, and when it goes to the sreen where your names come up for the games, i just see 3 dots :\

  • @RiKiDa999 DONE! i just removed fpse and re-installed it and it worked perfectly! thanks a lot!! :) much appreciated! x

  • Great video that's going to save me a lot of time. Thank you.

  • mate your a bloody saviour, i was ready to give up with all the crappy videos on how to use fpse, but yours was straight forward and well detailed, thanks man really appreciate it :)

  • @knightywii your welcome my friend! this was exactly why i made the vid, no one was explaining it well enough for me to do it right, and with all the file types if it doesnt come out correctly made it a total nightmare. but glad its help you out.

  • hey, erm not quite sure whats going wrong, i cant drag and drop anything to my phone when its plugged in... but i only just managed to get the 1001.bin file into my phone by putting the SD card into a SD/USB converter and into the pc... but either way i do it i cant put any other files into my SD card, and ive tried ripping games from disks and using the files and ive also tried some that i downloaded... i dont know what to do D:

  • @MrMegaScopez hmmm you shouldnt need to use any sort of converter. just make sure your properly connecting it to the pc and the right software is installed. it should just move files like a usb stick would.

  • I have just put james bond onto the xperia play. it loads up like your final fantasy, then it asks me to insert the disk. please could you let me know if i can resolve this

  • @TAEUFAGGIT message me the location where you downloaded it from and ill have a play around with it till i get it to work. that is if you havent fixed it yet.

  • thanks man, just put ffix on my phone. there is a problem with the sound though. mainly when it cuts to a video and plays music i hear nothing.

  • @TJoshuaR2 hey mate im glad you mentioned this. what you need to do is once the game loads up, go to your fpse settings and select the audio option. on this menu is 2 options: no sound and spu sync. tick the spu sync, save under settings and then restart the game. this will fix the sound for you and you can enjoy all the ff9 tunes! hope that helps mate!

  • w w w.ehow.com/how_5116786_unzip-file.html (unzipping 7z files) and just put the "W" together

  • @NorthCarolina6 Hey Mate! i tried doing the exact same thing lol. 7z is actually a tightly compressed file and needs to be unzipped using a similar program to winzip and winrar.google and download a program that unzips 7z files. try and give this ago and after unzipping the file it should turn it into a .bin file. an alternative option tho is just download the game from another site. tbh i havent run into many 7z files so havent had the need to unzip them. but definately let me know how it goes.

  • @radicafacation as you can see by the video its really straight forward using fpse. there isnt really any analogue support as of yet, thats up to the fpse creators to work on that but hopefully something soon. they update fpse fairly frquently so im sure in no time at all many games will be analogue compatible, although i honestly cant remember how many ps1 games actually were, its been so long...hope that helps at all.

  • @atkolad cheers for that mate, i had a go at downloading those games and installing them but i wasnt having much luck getting them running. it couldnt recognise the game file even though it was adding a picture to the listing with crash bandicoot. i think for the moment im gonna have to stick to using fpse but it wont stop me from giving yifanyus way a go. but thanks again dude for expanding the xperia play psx database

  • Google -playstation certified games library xperia play mobiletalk- click on the mobile talk link.

It allows you to run psx games through the playstation pocket app at 60fps. You can download psx games aswell and it tells you how to put them on your xperia play.

  • @atkolad is this easy and is there analog support?

  • @radicafacation

There isnt analog support at the moment. For some games it changes the camera angle thou.

It is easy to do. You download the rar file, extract the 2 files inside. Drag them onto the sdcard inside the android folder and another inside another folder.

You may need to get astro from the android market so that you can locate and install the apk file

  • @atkolad Cheers Ten fold mate!

  • @tanksfat08 Hey tanksfat08, tbh i have no clue unfortunately, i havent actually installed the snes emulator yet but i can only presume its down to the emulator. i remember seeing once before purchasing the fpse that it had an update that allowed it to automatically get added to the xperia play menu. if anything, i would send an email to the people who are selling the snes emu through android (usually an address is shown) and just ask them if they could make an update for it. hope that helps

  • @colby2987 Hey I downloaded a game from the internet and it gave me a .cue file and a .7z file I tried renaming the .7z to .iso and played it and it started up then froze in a few second I changed it to .bin and it does the same thing.....what should I do?

  • hey man, u know when u slide the play open and the fpse icon is there... do u know how to get then snes9 ex icon there also?. mine moved the psx one automatically, but im not sure how to do the snes one. cheers for any help
