    All those guys looked so f...ing young, I hope their sacrifice isn't in vain, I also hope that the British Government pulls its bloody finger out and properly equips our blokes fighting this war and give's 100% more support to the families of the fallen.

    look basically i live in gibraltar and most people would expect me to join the gibraltar regiment...but no i want to join the Royal Anglian reg.

    im 16 and going to harrogate but i would like to know wether i can get acomidation as soon as i get to the reg( a room )

    i have no immediate family in the area but i might be able to stay at my girlfriends house in birmingham for a few days.

    i need advice and answers :\

    also can somone else live in your room with you?

  • if you are going to AFC Harrogate like myself you'll be staying at the college and when you leave harrogate you will be living in barracks

  • u shud get accodation m8, im in the army maself joinin the royal anglian reg. i goin catterick in feb n gt a few mates in da army. but wen ma mates were in training down harrowgate they had the choice weather to stay on camp or leave camp for the weekend. you will also be sharing a room with a few other lads aswell. best of luck for your training

  • the taliban need respect, there are the enemy but they are fighting for what they believe in, just like what our troops are ... they are fighting a vastly superior in ,every sense, force. i know the impacts on war, i have multiple friends in service, one of which was killed on Christmas eve, but you have to respect your enemy. they are humans as well. good luck with your service .

  • powerful video, iv just turned 20 yrs old and it gets to me that people younger than me have died in iraq and afghanistan, when i was 16 i used to think that they were way older than me and it didnt really shock me as much as now, but when you pass out the age that some of these boys have died at you realise how short their lives were and how much they had left to do, now i realise that if circumstances had been different it could have easily been me, i cant use age as a reason anymore, rip lads

  • 2 years ago 2 soldiers from the royal anglian lost there lives in iraq. Private Adam Morris ages 19 and Private Joseva Lewaicei aged 25 i thought it would be appropriate to say rip guys and my thoughts go out to yours family and friends.

  • This touched my heart especially after having a close friend shot in afghan last May. I saw the damage mentally and physically that combat can do. What our armed forces are doing out there demand respect and we should treat them better. Good luck guys, always in my thoughts x

  • My husband and alot of my friends are currently in afghan now with 4 regt ra so i feel for the families of lost ones, everyday i sit and watch then news wondering if this is the day i hear something bad, thankly they all have been luckly and with only three weeks to go they are all going to return safely.  My heart goes out to the lads and lasses we have lost RIP!!!!

  • Hi Emma, i just had to respond-i no how you feel. My bf was there last yr, everyday i sat watching the news scared,then when they reported 4men dead from his regiment as a result of the US army i experienced the worst 5 days of my life before they released the names. Jumping everytime my phone rang, obsessed with reading papers and watching the news. Luckily he was not one of them and came back in Oct. My heart goes out to the families of the men/girls who fell. Im so proud of our boys/girls.
