It's a mix of both. When I made it only the first 4 episodes of Hellsing Ultimate were out. I personally recommend watching both. They are similar but the way the characters are portrayed is a little different in each. Overall Hellsing Ultimate's story is much more in depth and it introduces many more characters than the first one did. But the original holds a special place in my heart cuz it was the first one I ever watched.

@londea88 I read the manga I get what you mean. i just like the fact that Alucard is an intimidating presence whenever he shows up, He can frighten without even doing anything other than walking into a room.

He might as well have a sign that says I can do more or less whatever I want and no one is ganna tell me otherwise. He scary in the sense that he looks almost human but is simply a predator. Plus when he goes after someone he is unrelenting no matter what they do he just keeps on coming.
