I thought the LOST finale was absolutely perfect! Those who hated it I think wanted answers to questions that didn't really need to be answered or shouldn't have been answered. The show was heavily thematic from beginning to end and focused on morals, motives, realationships and, most of all, human error. The show was about people, not twists and turns. In my opinion, it could not have ended better.
And as for your skit... it made me laugh for reasons I'm sure you didn't intend... =]

But my main problem with this ending is that it shows that creators blatantly lie to us viewers. They said the island wasn't purgatory and it isn't but with this ending it's clear that that was the initial intent or big finale twist, they just didn't expect so many fans to figure it out in the first season so they swore up and down that it wasn't purgatory so they then tacked on this flash sideways so that they could still have their purgatory-ish ending.
I for one loved the mysteries but cared little about the answers. The island can time travel? Cool, I don't need to know how, but what annoyed me off about this ending is that they've built up this idea that what's bad for the island is bad for the world and I never got that feeling watching the finale it all seemed very contained, I didn't need it to turn into a disaster movie but give the events some gravitas.

and the the first 2 hours and 28 minutes of the series finale was insanely good!
but the last 2 minutes sucked 108 bags of dicks!!!!!!!!!
