I had two W60s and they both had audio problems after being just suspended in a river to a depth of six inches - before this the sound was crystal clear; afterwards (even after drying out completely) the sound was mostly white noise with speech etc. barely audible. Well, the first W60 I bought was crystal clear sound, only the AF mode made noise.
Before 2 months I tried to buy a new W60 and there was this problem like scratch in the sound of the videos. Was like over clipping. krts krts.. like that, and also in the voice many times. I tried them all in the store, you know, putting the SD with a video inside and playing, and all of the made the same problem.
Well, it must be a whole series of faulty production, cause the first i bought was OK.
well, the battery lasts usualy enough to record video for abt 30 mins (4GB SD) and to view the videos and pics for all day...
The only thing that i didn't like is when in video recording mode, if you have AF (auto focus) enabled, you can hear the sound of the AF motor in the movie, which is very anoying... (also the zoom motor, but it is less anoying...)
Could you please make a video consisting of shooting anything with AF on and shooting the same things with AF off? I´m like buying this camera but would like to see if there is any difference... sure there is some, but I´d like to see what difference as I am not good at this field.. I would be very thankful !
Unfortunatly mu camera is lost. Somebody broke into my car and stole it. Anyway, the good thing is that with AF on you have the sharpest video but also the sound like scratching on the video (this must be the motor for the lenses).
I will upload more. I record in 640x480-30fps, as always. The only thing I hated was that, when I record video, and have the autofocus enabled, the motor makes sounds that are recorded in the video, which is very annoying. (but I learned from a frind that also other sony and kodak makes the same)
otherwise, all other features are very good, especialy the 3 picture joint panorama, which is made automaticly

I dunno... as you can see from the comments the cam was stolen before last year.
I can guess it would be like 40 mins abt. I got the NEW W80 now, i can test it with it.

I hope i will find it before the end of the summer so I can upload underwater videos.

I think W30 is for 2 meters or something, a little more slim, and not that heavy duty...
