the day i pay $900 for a bottle of fragrance is the day it'll snow in hell, its ridiculous, what the hell's in it anyway, unicorn piss, lol, seriously, what on earth are they using in this fragrance that would make it cost that much, 24 karat gold, lol, its gonna run out at some point so why do i need a perfume bottle made out of 24 karat gold, its stupid, i can think of better things to spend $900 on than some damn fragrance but thats just me

I am saving up to get Christian cologne as I am a cologne Connoisseur. I have many brands from D&G to Prada and in the mean time, I am getting this cologne called Ciel. It was basically made for Kings and Princes and the smell is fantastic. It comes in a wooden case with a silk lining and a 24 karat gold top.

ciel is the name? do u have any pics of it? have u ever tried panther by cartier? now thats a fragrance.

Panther is too spicy/woodsy for me. I have my tastes and one cologne that I have personally like from Cartier is the declaration cologne. A nice mans cologne if you want sophistication and romance. Just an fyi, I didn't get the cologne due to someone else buying it. :O

i bought my first bottle of 1872 recently from holt renfrew in canada- i paid $345cd- i must say its so long lasting, and smells better the longer its on your skin- i have at least 100 bottles or more of designer fragrance, and i must say this one stands out alot from my other ones-- its divine!!

what city r u in? holt renrew in toronto has it, and they will probaly send it to a holt renfrew in your area , if u have a holt store in your area or they will mail it to u.

ok - i have now smelt all 3- no 1 is very pretty but too light for my taste- i love 1872- i hated X. 1872 is very green and fruity- with a slight spicy note that i loved. X to me smelled like stale wine and No 1 was very soft, pretty and femine but way to weak. i realy had to strain my noise to smell it

It is funny how people tend to respond differently to the varying scents . My girlfriend loves them in the following order X, 1872, and then no 1. Another friend that I gave them to likes them in the same order as I do. No1, 1872, X. Have you smelled the scents for both men and women?

ive only smelled the womens- im actualy starting to like x also. but i thank the prettiest of them all is no 1 but at that price i cant justify it in my mind to pay it--i just bought 200ml spray bottles of chanel 22 and 31. rue cambon from chanel which are both lovely and i paid 240 dollars for each bottle-- that price is bad enuff-- this clive price is just crazy

Here's a bargain hint for you: Ebay! I bought a $900 bottle of Clive Christian's limited edition No 1 for women in a sealed bottle (with the Neiman Marcus Bag) for $400 on ebay. You can find some bargains there. Be weary of nefarious sellers though :))

wow what a steal- is it the crystal bottle or the gold bottle?- either way its a steal. i wonder why someone buys it at neimans than just go and sell it for much less than they paid. i cant figure people out--lol

I have all three of the scents for men. I ABSOLUTELY love the No 1 & the 1872! I like the X a lot, but it still comes in 3rd among the three. I have given all three of the women's scents as gifts for friends.  The No 1 and 1872 for women are exquisite! The X for women similarly comes in 3rd place.

describe the number 1 for women - what does it smell like? and do u think its worth the price? i mean is it that much better than other perfumes on the market.?

I could not give an accurate description of the perfumes. That would be better suited for the professionals in the industry. Is it worth the price; well, for most people, price tends to be a more relative term. People will place different intrinsic values on varied consumer items based on their internal preferences, as well as their financial ability. I personally like them more than anything else I have.
