What most pple will tell you is whatever fits and feels to you the best is the right bow for you. There are so many brands and types on the market. I tried several in stores before deciding on the Bear Strike. They can range anywhere from $200-$1500. But don't think you need to buy something expensive to get a good bow. You should just try some because they will all feel a little different in your hand, be more quiet, lighter, etc. Just try some out
hey im new to bows and i want to use one for hunting i am only 18 (legal age in my country) but i dont know what bow i should get what bow would you or anyone reading this comment recomend
All you need is a set of allen wrenches. You adjust it at the end of each limb. Be sure you adjust them both equally and alternate. I.E. one turn at the top, then one turn at the bottom, then one turn at the top, and then one at the bottom. That way you aren't putting too much pressure on the limbs at any given time
It's a whisker biscuit. It comes on the bow when you buy the RTH package. I don't have any experience with fall away rests. But I can say that I don't notice any inadequacies in accuracy using the whisker biscuit.
What type of arrow rest are you using. It looks like a whisker biscuit? If so what model? I am new to bow hunting and trying to figure out if whisker biscuits or fall away rests are better any suggestions?

what hes saying is that ur gripping it there to much remember two fingers supporitn the bow i have a pse brute im 13 and im pulling back 60 pounds what poundage are u taking on?
Hi I got the Bear strike and Im trying to register it but I dont know where the serial # is,... the form says the number is on the bottom limb but I see two different numbers that look like this ( a-634678 ) on both bottom limbs, and a set of numbers that look like this ( A6 - 7498 ) in between the limbs can someone tell me witch one it is so I dont get screwd out of my warranty please, Thank you.
hey dude i got a bear archery charge RTH today and i suck with it.. like my groups are at least 6-8 inches apart i cant seem to sight it in right any help?
@kx85kid12 ....nothing really other than practice unless your pins aren't sited in correctly. Remember to adjust your site left/right and up/down TOWARDS where your arrows are landing on the target. Get your left and right set first, then adjust your up and down. Site in your 10 yard pin dead on before moving to further distances.
Biggest think impacting my groups is how I pull the release. If you don't have a steady "pull" the entire time you wind up jerking and scattering arrows.
@davjau ok thanks its got the 3 pin sight but on 9/26 i go for my field day and i have to get 3 out of 5 arrows in the vital areas of a deer if not i fail it and like im trying to sight in my bow its just not working idk maybe its me
@kx85kid12 I would go back to the store you purchased the bow from and they will help you at least site in the 10 yard pin....if you just bought it online, take it to some local bow shop and they will make sure it is tuned up properly
got my strike package today, last one they had at gander mtn., and its the one i was out for. been shooting it all day and sighting it in, and its great. silent, fast and dead accurate, bear archery really has done good this year with their bows.
sweet vid dude an good shooting i just bought my strike today was lookin at a truth 2 but i love the look of this bow cost me 533 out the door but i love it set it up when i bought hit dead on in 2 little adjustments at 30 yards first time shootin an very quiet for a lower cost bow i think i well have a good season this year finaly got everything lined up good stands, clothes an now an badass bow good luck to u to bud
But just asking, for my first good compound bow, should I buy the strike or the charge? Du you think it is worth to buy the strike for my first good bow?
Both bow has brace height as 7,75, but the strike has the string supressors, and 5 fps faster IBO, (as you sure know) so do you think i'tsworth it?
@LLLGuitar I was in the same boat and thought the same thing. I actually shot the charge first without even knowing about the strike. At the time, the charge was the only one offered at Bass pro shops when I was there. The strike had still not hit production line. So I loved the charge. The are basically the same bow but I thought I would like the upgrade with double string supressors. The extra 5 fps really doesn't amount to anything so don't even worry about that.
@LLLGuitar If you have the money I would just go with the strike...but if not the charge is still a great bow, and if you add something to the strings like a diamond hush kit or something I am sure it will be a great all around bow. Can't really go wrong with either one
@LLLGuitar hey not being rude an jumpin into your conversation but at 300 plus ibo an about 290 with a good grain arrow your hitttin targets at 40 yard in a half sec what 5 fps really but regardless i have the strike an man i love it an u cant go wrong with bear i dont care what u say i have been shoot a whitetail2 for 6 year an it is 15 year or more old an still i group at 30 yards bad thing no left off lol got to love 80%
@dvonlangen I don't know how fast the string stops would wear out. I purchased this at the end of hunting season and haven't even hunted with it yet. But I have run probably 600-800 arrows through it thus far and it ain't wearin down yet. I do think you could add a bow reel
@davjau hey i have a question but it might sound rude so you dotn have to answer it. how much did your bow cost and where did you buy it and what kind is it? thx
37dugan: as a bear archery shooter i would personally recommend you buy the 2010 models charge or the strike being how its cams no longer need modules you buy seperately to adjust your draw length at 1 inch increments, also when adjusting your draw length you do not need a bowpress to make the adjustments so this saves you time and effort, i shot the strike and charge for myself it speaks for itself when you try it whichever your choosing it will be a very sound investment well worth the money.
This is the first Bear I have owned and I love it. I got it at the end of deer season so I haven't hunted with it yet. I just couldn't imagine spending $1000+ on a fancy bow for 20 more fps. This is enough to kill anything
Very nice shots

nice grouping on the arrows your an expert :P
rngepkn33b 1 year ago
I think your gonna need to invest in some more fletchings and possibly arrows if you keep shooting tight groups like that.
@ dvonlangen- you can mount a bowfishing reel on any bow pretty much.
