okay okay read this please and answer....what would you do if you woke up one morning and you saw an elephant sitting on your living room chair reading a newspaper and smoking a pipe and as soon as it saw you it said "oh, good morning how did you sleep?" seriously....
The sound of a baby elephant crying is heartbreaking.
On a lighter note, their triumphant (pun unintended) trumpets are sweet. Those guys must be in top physical condition to run around with the elephants like that. Little elephants are fast!
@charlieisgone no, not at all. The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust has a well organized method of helping the babies grow up and they are eventually put back into the Reserve that is State Protected from Poaching but still int eh Wild. MANY of the Elephants from the DSWT have been returned to the wild and are flourishing as well as having babies! This documentary was made to show what AMAZING work the foundation does and it needs supporters funds to keep it running.

fuck that bitch man... they all go there n seem to b nice to em animals then make money of em. oh africa when r we gonna open our eyes???? we need to take care of our shit. no white man involved. they dont let us take care of their shit, so y should we let em? think about.
no offense to all my white friends. it's not u but the ppl ahead of u. like ur fathers n grand fathers.
No one is taking care of anyone's problems, we're all the same. That girl I think is just there to make a documentary. Actually in the video we do not see any "shit" that is being solved! It is just elephants playing.
And the current generation is not to be blamed for mistakes in the past!
your right tht she('bitch' as sum say) is there for a Documentation, nothing more, not there to try and fix things which "africa cant see". we're all people nomater race or birthplace so we all indirectly play part in causing problems, so we all can(and probly should) help, rathr thn let few strugle with thm. i dont think its right fr someone to blurt out sumthing that have 2 strong an opinion and les understanding on tho. i work with animals and no of anyone who does it for £, only for passion
money is behind everything my friend. if she s making money of these elephants, they wont show it on youtube. they show those things to blind ppl up while they dig money of those animals. Things like world vision, or all of those charity to help africa bullshit. they just making money of those poor kids. ask money on their names and give em like 10% of wat they supposed to have.. it`s just sad to see. but oh well!
and how much do you give to charity? how are you helping animals, or anyone else? I find that the people who usually criticize are the ones how don't understand (similar to how you clearly do not understand how//why wildlife conservation documentaries are produced) and/or are the ones who sit on their butts and do nothing themselves.
my name is panphilia, meaning nature lover, of course i give to charity, in fact i work for charity, i work with world vision, and stuff, and please do not call me ignaurant because my opinion is personal. I am talking from experience. I am from Congo, where grew up, i ve seen okapis being sold being sold by the same people who came to protect animal rights, white rhinos put down for their skins, let me not even talk about montain gorrillas.
i am not saying everybody does that. but when they get to the field they have to because of the person who is above them thats justhow it goes, it is the rule of the jungle. One day go doen check from your own eyes then maybe you will understand where my " ignaurance is coming from"
there is corruption everywhere, it can't be denied, but you can't assume that that is what goes on everywhere. I work in the field as well, and I know about the corruption you speak of but there are also many people out there trying to make a difference. In the case of this documentary, if you have seen the whole thing you know that its goal was to bring attention to the plight of poaching and the orphaned elephants.
@pamphyl perhaps World VIsion is evil, but I assure you The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is NOT!!! Dame Sheldrick and her team of Elephant lovers are dedicated to helping Elephants and educating people on conservation...
check it out.
not everything in life is so evil..... we MUST support the GOOD ones and EXPOSE the BAD!
@StormBringer44. hi, I understand what you mean. From this video it seems that the elephants might be exploited, as we watch them play, rednering the real issues that are causing them to be orphaned are not being addressed, BUT, I must ask you to research the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust from where this video is taken. It is an AMAZINGLY dedicated & Proactive Sanctuary that Does AMAZING things for the LIVES of MANY Elephants. Play & LOVE are a part of Elephant recovery & good health.
@unnst I want to work there too!!! I am fortunate enough to Donate money the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Foundation, to Foster TWO baby Elephants! Dida and Tano. By Helping these elephants and caring for them one by one, the DSWT, brings AWARENESS to the world. A BBC Documentary is a small part of that awareness. The foundation NEEDS Money... that's elementary. How else can change happen, one day... it's all about Conservation, dedication, education and Awareness....change will follow...
