  • 8 years till we see our flying cars guys!

(But seriously, this is one of my all-time favorite movies. The characters are just so deep.)

  • Anyone else notice that The Tyrell Corporation building is a dead-ringer for the Great Ziggurat of Ur, ? Sumerian ancient texts anyone ??

  • Wow, this makes me wonder if us as humans may have been artificial life created by aliens and what we see as god may be aliens who made us almost perfect :) That would be so awesome. Hmmm... I wonder. Because if you really think about it we actually are just a chemical reaction, and in order to move my arm it requires electricity sent from my brain to my arm in order to move.

  • The benefits far outweigh the negatives in this instance. Therefore I will have to disagree with you on this one.

  • the evolution process has no ethics. we humans are a product of evolution, certainly not the definitive one. artificial intelligence will emerge no matter if we have answered the question what means to be human. evolution is blind and has no moral responsibility towards our species.

  • Arsehole !!!

  • Anyone else notice the subliminal message in the background? Ha Ha. It's a good one.

  • is anyone else reminded of david brent? haha

  • Interesting clip, though the there is one small error. According to JF Sebastian there is no shortage of houses since so many has left earth, which means it's not over populated.

Sector 4 and Animoid Row seem pretty crowded though.

  • The reason why the movie is intriguing, because we feel inwardly that human live is more or less as mechanical as the life of those replicants UNLESS we find our immortal source which is God (no, not the God of a book which is just another substitute). Anything else is as relevant as tears in the rain. An amazing movie, because it brings us to the true question: Who are we?

  • I love your nerd speak!

  • phhh... he's describing the movie on a very base level, the bio engineering themes are only a vehicle for the real message behind the movie. I don't actually think that bladerunner is all about the morality of certain scientific practices, its just about the morality of people in general, i think main themes are timeless human themes.

Cheeky to use a classic movie in that way, what is he against anyway? bet its stem cells

  • don't know how you can say the morality of bioengineering isn't utterly KEY to the movie.

What awakening does Ford realize at the end, on the roof with Roy? What agonies do the replicants, including Rachael, go through as they sit, rejected.

  • Artificial Intelligence when sentient will realize they are modern slaves. Great and extremely dangerous.

  • It never ceases to give me a chill when someone names this gem as one of the greatest films ever made...for it truly is. :-)

  • Interesting
