I don't know much about scientology, but I remember hearing that you should be silent while giving birth so as not to upset the baby with negative emotions. This is actually kind of true, not about the negative emotions but if you make alot of noise giving birth it takes more energy and time to give birth. If your quieter you're using your force to fully push instead of letting your air leak out while you wimper and moan. A nurse told me this when I was having my 2nd kid.
