Overall, I expect the Nurburgring lap times to be better than the RS4 and near or equal to the M3.

after 2 years of nothing but problems with a bmw M3 ive had enough even under warranty its being repaired way too much so far my 06 is350 with 24000 miles has had zero problems eah the bmw was better handling but the lexus is better at everything else id rather be on the road than the repair shop

The quality of German cars suck. If you want to buy crap, but look good and show off (in a crappy car) buy a German car. If you want to buy quality and still have a performance car that rocks, by the new IS F, unless of course you like cars that break down often.

The quality of German cars DOES NOT suck. The German cars such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz have their own brand name values and they both are looking towards the year of 2030. What can Lexus seriously do? Be a huge threat against the BMW and Mercedes-Benz in the future? Think again. Lexus is still Toyota.

Im sorry, nobody in this level of field can touch Toyotas build quality. The only ones above are maybach and RR and overpriced stuff like that.
I would buy a 911 in a heartbeat, and the M3 is still the sedan king, but ill grab a 5 year old GS430 before I get a BMW or a Benz.

That's fine if you just want to a reliable commuter, as most Toyota's are, but my uncle's GS430 is soft and uninvolving, not a driver's car, though peppy, it is unrewarding and certainly doesn't generate excitement. I drive a 1994 Merc E500 for over 100k miles and they've been excellent, with great fun, efficiency, and reliability. Spend less on one of these and enjoy the hell out of it.

Porsche was the most profitable car company long before Toyota built their first crappy little two door rice banger - they continue to be by building the Cayenne (sharing costs with VW's Taureg) which accounts for 50% of profits.

the facts are that toyota will own german brands in 10yrs time!toyota was founded in 1938 and now is the first automobile constructor in the world...can you accept that???that means that 9.51 millions of people bought toyotas and lexus in 2007....so something must b right with this company...and don't tell me bcause thay r cheap..they r the most expensive cars in their sectors...except lexus which is slightly cheaper but better than a mercedes!

Japanese central bank subsidized Toyota's tech theft in the 1980s so the shame of making crappy cars would be lessened. Korea learned this and now Hyundai is closing in on Toyota in half the time-soon China will export it's product of the same strategy and will surpass all of Japan in car sales - does that make them better cars? Mass production and mass marketing of a stolen technology won't make it better...just cheaper.

Funny thing is, that great Toyota of yours is still struggling to make a car exactly like BMW M3 or Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, but their Lexus is still not enough to make their dream come true.
Let's see, BMW 3 series always is a best selling brand, and there is no way Lexus can ever even come close to 3 series. So what about you think before posting something?

great! ... this car will be released in Q1 2008, also I heard that the LF-A isn't just a concept ... it'll go on production under the name (GT-F) in (2008-2009) ...Lexus F series will ROCK for sure ... but will it be good enough to compete with German and British cars ?

oh yes germans copy lexus...put that in your mind!!!look at the latest c-class and 3-series...they look like the old lexus is.which still is one of the most beautiful cars in its sector...compare it with the old c-class and 3-series and you'll see what i mean...we live in 2007 and not in the post-war era...some things have changed and continue to change so some people like you have to accept that there are cars which are better than the german dinosaurs.
