  • my uncle has had ALS for 2 years :( he falls all the time, he has to stop talking to swallow, he can't eat certain foods and he talks really slowly.

  • @twilightwoods92 my aunt had ALS for 2 years, in the first year she lost everything, her speech, and her movement but she had a fully functional mind. it was hard to see her like that. she died in march of this year. i made a memoir video for her. its on my channel. its just one of the things i could do to show how much i love nd miss her, and how much of an inspiration she was to everyone.

    It felt so sad. Bitter sweet.

  • Does anyone know where I can watch the original ALS commercial, the one with the two men and the one askes the othet if he'll be alright? those were my uncles, Ranny and Rod, and unfortunatly my uncle Ranny lost his battle to ALS, Id' really love to be able to watch it again, I miss him a lot. Please help me

  • I just found out yesterday that my dad has ALS and I am really scared and sad. It helps to see videos and read people's comments that are supportive of folks with ALS and their families. It helps me feel not-so-scared.

  • My mother passed in January and my grandfather (my mom's dad) passed away in January, 1989. Both had Bulbar-ALS. One day calm came over me and life made sense. I long for this feeling every day. I hope it finds you and your loved ones.

  • i think i found out around the same time you did that my mom had als. and whenever i feel lonely and misunderstood, these videos and comments help me to. none of my friends know how it is but its nice to know i am not the only one.

  • @tigerinherhips i know how you feel sorta. my aunt was diagnosed with als 2 years ago. she died this march. it does help to see all these people supporting this, cuz no one deserves to have this disease

  • a guy named justin brace i know has it. hes only 23 years old and its horrible to see his body slowly shutting down and not being able to do anything about it. hes a strong guy though. i know 1 other person who has it and is nearing the end of his life and my grandmas best friend died of it at 61 i think it was

  • This disease is really sad.. I'm unlucky enough to have it at age 25. I suspect all the diet soda I drank might have something to do with it.

    So far, I've only lost the function of my thumbs and little fingers and some toes.. but my arms and legs are weakening. It's not fun.
