And if they had been dragged in then this crisis would have been a whole lot worse. What do you do? You can't cut the chains you can only stop it by stopping the sinker. Maybe they are wrong, but the only people who are against the spending are congressmen and bill o'riley who have no ideas of there own. No actually it doesn't. The financial crisis due to Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac being fed into because banks were forced to loan money to people without incomes does sound much more familiar.
There's no doubt that some regulation needs to exist. There's no doubt that our healthcare system needs work.
But taking over industry after industry and creating a public option which will destroy the free market is not the answer.

Republicans were in charge of the entire government from 2001 to 2007 when this economic collapse was allowed to occur. Republican president, Republican Congress and Republicans in chearge of the Federal Reserve, OFHEO and the SEC. Republicans were also in charge of the entire government on 9-11-2001 and after Hurricane Katrina. Republicans were asleep at the switch despite all the warnings. I'm not a Republican. So your arguement is rather null. Republicans in true form were founded out of a unilateral desire that all men be equal, and the party very quickly enforced the end of slavery. I wouldnt expect much more of a response out of a Democrat though. Democrats don't have a historical, or much less current leg to stand on. The last administration was a failure, and this administration, or should I say, regime, is a catastrophy. But, I'd assume you, in true form, will ignore logic.

Furthermore, Bush's administration was bad, but Obama's administration is just straight up horrific. If you had studied Naziism or Communism you would see and understand why. Listen, you cant blame it all on George Bush, sure he led to the collapse of the housing industry, but that is not what is destroying jobs which give people the money to boost the economy.
