Out of all the ones ive watched this is probobly the best.I heard this in my 6th grade choir class and the lyrics in english are so.....like cool and i love this song
wow amazing... i herd this song when i watch the concert of Voices Of Manila "VOM" last Dec. 27, 2010 my conductor was a part of VOM it was great.. then i start listening this song Salmo 150 over and over again... i really want to learn this song. i think tenor has a hard part of this song so its hard for me either, but i'll do my best to learn Salmo 150.
I remember when my choir teacher told us we'd be singing this, and we looked at him like he had three heads, but singing this in choir was kind of the best thing ever!
And if you think this is insane, try the all-women's version.
Absolutely beautiful! My church choir sang this song (in Chinese version) recently, too! Welcome to my channel and give thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ! Greetings from Hong Kong, China!
@67shelbyeleanor Absolutely beautiful! My church choir sang this song (in Chinese version) recently, too! Welcome to my channel and give thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ! Greetings from Hong Kong, China!
Last night I just did this song in the cannon school choir. Ours isn't really as fast as that 1, but I thought it sounded better and more organized than that one. I couldn't understand the words.
@SilverBallet THe best thing about this song is that it's catchy and that it sings about praising God. it is based off Psalm 150 in the Bible's Old testament. Us Muslims believe in the old testament but not the new testament.
Really pretty! The pitches are great too..its just really guy heavy. Mostly bases but the tenors could tone it down a bit. And I know it is written fast, but there is something here that makes it an unattractive fast- not energetic.
I meant DOMINUM... ^_^ Not Daute... anyway.... I just looked up schools' version... Yeahhh... This will be the best video you find. My choir directors Filipino and he's giving us this song... Maybe it's just a Filipino thing. ^_^ Either way... they're awesome at it.
Lordy Lordy, that Tenor line at 0:24 and 0:49 is going at like, light speed, haha... I'm a tenor and we're singing Salmo 150 this semester and my tongue doesn't quite move that fast xD AWESOME job, btw!
i wil download ur great interpretation and share it to my frend to inspires them with your wholeheartedly rendition...great job PCS!! God bless u all and more succes to ur career!
Wow...I just got home from a concert where I sang this song...Of course this choir puts what we sang to shame, seeing as we're a high school choir, but still! The ending was perfect. The song was a bit under tempo though. Other than that, it was great!
this is one of my favorites. ok nman ung pagkakakanta, however medyo nagflat ang bases in some part, masyadong mabigat ang bagsak ng 'lalalala', and mabigat ang rendition nung song.
paki polish lng ng konti. btw, im a voice grad from UP and trained with the madz
i did this in 7th grade lol we were all guys and i had to do the soprano part with some other guys lol and the notes were that up high but we bombed it and got the state choir championship thing with the song!
Wonderful pulse and movement. Uniform vowel shaping and good articulation. The director knew just where & when to place the accents effectively and temper the dynamics. It's very interesting to note that this choir's strong ability to successfully pull off energetic & virtuosic repertoire. I would love to hear them perform sublime music of Whitacre, Mozart, Brahms, and Bach. You seem to have received plenty of accolades here. Congrats! Wishing you much success. When/where are you singing next?
WOW! This sounds so AWESOME! We're doing this song for competition this year, and our choir director told us to get online to listen to this, and I can see why. I love your diction, especially the tenors on the "Magni tu di nis eus" part. I'm a tenor, and that parts killer xD I also love your control, you always were spot on with your pitches and on the volume. VERY, VERY awesome.
Thank the Lord! Finally a choir has good facial expressions. At most of the festivals and competitions I've gone to, the choirs might have sounded good, but they looked dead. So that was pretty good =)
The composer of this piece is actually my teacher of Conducting and Composing, here in Brasil, and he told us that in the final versus when the entire choir sing "laudate dominum" in unisono, almost no one makes the stress on "do" and that's the right thing to do, and this choir does do that! Congratulations!
wow its so amazing... we also sing that song in our church or when we have festivals... we sing psalmo 150!!!! im on of the bass.... hehehe i love it!!!!!!!!11

We are doing this song in choir right now, it sounds great! This so far the best version that I found on You Tube.
My only critisism is that 0:58-1:04 the tenors are too strong, and the ladies in the 'eius' parts sound interesting. . .
Overall, the best i've heard so far!
