When the front solenoid loses magnetization on the low notes, you can hear the washer vibrating as well.
The solenoid is operating at 25% duty cycle, and during the low notes, the solenoid is off for a period that is longer than the mechanical time constant of the spring. When the solenoid turns back on (for the next note), the solenoid is too far out, and there isn't enough force to pull it back in.
Cell phones don't have rattling washers that coincide with the music... It probably would have been more work for me to fake this then to actually write the code.
ha ha, I played this Bach melody on piano when I was in music school ;)

I wouldn't mind going up to the copier at work, tapping at the touch pad, and this happening. Really cool, and well done.

Sounds great! What kind of photocopier is that anyway?

Great! How do you get a chromatic scale from solenoids?

lol thats cool :]
not going to lie though, it would give me such a headache if i had to listen to that everytime someone wanted to photocopy something.

Nice music for a Xerox advert. You're not borrowing my dishwasher / multipurpose printer!

How is this egg triggered?
Thank you

Unfortunately, this only made it into the paper path test fixture, and the production code was being written at another location.
