i'm trying to learn some tricks to my shet gelding an it works out fine for me but he doesnt like lying down because i think he feels unsave then. how could i gain his trust to do it?
@thepeterstonelover - Part of the process with clicker training is that the process itself builds trust. Once they gain that, then you can find them lying down and click them for it....believe it or not, it can be that simple. It is how I've taught all the horses to lie down.
Buckwheat is the full sized Buckskin. You can see Nikki and Buckwheat along with the others on the "Clicker Training for Horses" video I've got on YouTube.
Aww, that sounds cute! My friend has a colt I think I saw once. He was born a palimino, and is turning into a liver chestnut kind of thing, so he's kind of a mix of the two. HE IS ADORABLE!!!!!!!!! :D

Peggy I've put it on my wishlist! Looks fantastic and I'm sure you've done a great job both with the DVD and the lessonplans. Awesome work as usual!

I love the dorsal stripe, I've been wanting a horse like that, it's so cool! :)

The dorsal stripe makes him a dun...my other buckskin didn't have one and he's considered a true buckskin...

Yeah I read that in a book somewhere, but I've heard different things. I don't think I've ever seen a horse with a dorsal stripe in real life.

My new 5 mo. old mini filly is a buckskin with a dorsal stripe. At least that's what it looks like at this age... She's a cutie :)
