I'm going to go against what everyone else is saying. I like the set the way it is. Now I don't live in NYC. In fact I'm in Florida. But if our ABC affiliate had that set, wow. (Of course without the NY backdrop.) Ours looks very similar, just a 'Florida" style generic backdrop.
These are much cleaner fresh looging HD Graphics....better than the blocky graphics they had in the Past...Much needed Update to the graphics package. I think, KTRK and KABC were among the Best in Graphics ABC O&O stations... WABC was behind the Power curb in Graphics package.

First off, there is no difinitive fact saying that WABC is GOING to use "Series 7". That would be like someone saying "I can't wait 'till WLS uses EWN NG2!" Sure, it could happen, but it's really unlikely considering there are people out there that know what will happen. And the fact that you keep saying you "Work" there is what pisses people off. He w3as using that as an example of how you always stretch the truth. You do NOT work there, you only have an internship...

And no...Most of these guys that are interested in News Music, Graphics, and everything else that has to do with local television stations have been in the buisness for MANY years, others have followed television for many years. "csworldwide1" knows WAY more about TV than either of us. Instead of arguing with him, take what he has to say into consideration. The rest of us do.
Yeah, some of you people need to stop spreading rumors and getting others excited for no reason, the music will come when it comes. As far as I'm concerned, their current package is pretty nice and well suited for them since they are now the only ones that use that particular theme since many others switched to Series 7 and up... There is no definitive fact that they will switch to Series 7 anytime soon...
Awesome looking graphics, I am very impressed. Have been watching Eyewitness News my entire life and these are certainly my favorite graphics. Now time for a new set!
I really like the new graphics. They remind me of the old ones, but much more modern. I'm not so sure about the new 3D look of the circle 7, though. I liked the old 2D look better.
The 3D circle 7 comes as a result of ABC's "Start Here" slogan.The change seemed to be so big to ABC,that they showed off their 3D logo in more places and local ABC stations also began to follow by making idents,logos and more with the new logo.WABC has now done so,but is NOT the first station to do so.

Giant Octopus did these graphics. This is a step-up for WABC. Their previous graphics were not good.
I believe these graphics were based on the WRAL HD graphics. Anyway, WABC has some wonderful graphics.
