Great video,,,,thanks...I am determined to learn to freehand on my HQ16..any advice? Videos to watch? I cannot believe your continous circle. thans for sharing.
took me 3 full months to make a queen size quilt my very first all by hand. I just wanted to see if i could do it just all scraps and did it my way no pattern no one telling me how all the old ways sew sew when it's done it's done it keeps ya warm .
What an awesome video! I love quilts, my grandmother made them all the time, but no machine! (s l o w). The quilt is beautiful, and I found the longarm machine fascinating. Its good you don't use cnc, manually controlling the stitching rocks!
Steady as ya go mate! '5 hours later' gee I can only imagine how long this detailed piece might have taken with a hand held needle an thread. Someone's going to be very happy with their new quilt!
People used to make all their own bedding and linens, weaving the fabric. This job is fun cause I get to see all styles of quilts made by various (mostly) women. In the past, a woman (and her neighbors if she wasn't traveling in a wagon across the country) could take a year to finish one quilt.
That machine could use a silencer! Thanks for posting your work.

I am a "learn on your own" type too. I value the freedom to make quilts in whatever way moves me. Glad to hear from you.

Thank you so much! I remember the quilt my granny made me, all by hand, a pink dresden plate.

This is really cool. I never knew how quilts were made and you make it look fun and creative. The camera taped to the machine was pretty neat.

Thanks! It was hard to figure out how to deploy the camera, when it was taped to the machine I could barely see what I was doing, lol!

I am simply amazed by this wonderful piece of art. Small and good. Makes me more interested in Quilting. :-) Keep up the good work.
