It seems like everyone on youtube is obsessed with escapism, and not art. Don't get me wrong, I like watching films like Lord of the Rings, but you're praising people like Howard Shore too much for pieces that he could write in his sleep. I would much rather appreciate unique soundtracks that capture a culture or a unique fictional world. The godfather is great, and yes, it is incredibly overrated. I just think people look over good soundtracks like from Zorba the Greek, or A Clockwork Orange.

Im not sure about this... Every single child in America can recognize the Star Wars soundtrack whether they have seen the movie or not and you don't have it at number one?! Now, Lord of the Rings is my favoriite movie of all time to be sure.. But for me what makes a good movie soundtrack is to have a number that stands the test of time that is recognizable to all and the epitome of that to me is Star Wars. Liked viewing your opinion though.
