first gun i fired was a .38 speacial derringer. i didnt have the right form and didnt expect the trigger pull to be so heavy. i shot at a 1 foot wide 4 foot tall wood board and didnt hit squat.

Try shooting a derringer accurately at anything more than four feet away. Especially with something that's not a .22

That's the trick, hitting what you're aiming at with a derringer.

with that short ass barrel, point blank-4 ft. is the only way you'd hit anything. You could safely stand 10 yards away without protectionlol

The bullet practically rolls down the barrel, point it at the ground when fired and the lead will fall out like a gum ball. Not really but still :)
