equal is equal, Deaf is not considered a disability to anyone who knows anything about Deaf culture, and they aren't doing anything a hearing person wouldn't. They want a baby like them, absolutely nothing wrong with it!

I am deaf. I would not want to force my children to become something that they are not. Now you hearing people understand how we Deaf feel when hearing people try to make us to be something that we are not, when hearing people try to make us to hear and not accept our identity as Deaf and our rights to know sign language.

This is the reason genetic mapping cannot be celebrated as much as it should be. There are plenty of families that have one child with a disability and others without it. I hope their youngest child does not grow up to resent them for making that decision.

Personally, I think this story is pathetic. I can understand the parents wanting the child to be able to identify with them and not be the only one but...what parent would want to take away from their child and not give them all the means in life that they need?

What is the point? Why would they want to do this? The video doesn't touch on why they want to limit their next child's ability to hear. On the surface, it seems selfish to me.
