I was kind of underwhelmed with the story and dialogue to be completely honest. I wasn't satisfied with some of the voice acting either. It felt like it wasn't a story unfolding it was more of a "they did this, then they did that, then it ended".

Gameplay-wise, very satisfied.

Multiplayer, insanely satisfied.

Horde mode, pretty much shit my pants with satisfaction.

I've been wary of buying this game cause Gears 1 was one of the first games on the 360 I ever played, and it was awesome. Sadly, though, I was downed and raped before being curb-stomped by the second. I really didn't enjoy the co-op campaign at all, and that's all I could play, cause I didn't even own a 360, yet. But if this game is really as good as you guys say it is, I might just be revived by this awesome franchise.

Gears 1 was the best campaign easy and best online MP etc. Gears 3 is brilliant the DBS lets it down i think only because my team still win but it does not feel like Gears as much as it used to. Horde is amazing and worth the buy just for that. Campaign was good but not great , short and left alot out. Better then gears 2 by miles. If you are a Gears Fan you must must must buy this.

I seriously have mixed feeling with this game and franchise. There are parts when I'm thrilled by the action but most of game I feel bored. And I really can't buy in on any of the "sad" parts and memories, the cheesiness is just so overflowing. The turret parts are probably the worst part of the game. The MP is almost the only thing worth paying.
