  • Ironically, many have said this movie is best watched while your high.

  • this is my gateway into the world of Doug Walker

  • wtf was Nostalgia Critic supposed to be smoking out of?

  • @bindoggus a make shift bong i think .

  • Avgn and nc beat all youtube channel people

    Hands down

  • @bocajnw fuck you!

  • 1:40 can his face get any Funnier than that? LOL

  • AVGN is better quality im just saying

  • @EmilyGreene1984 I'm not gonna argue but I swear I recognize the voice of the smoke from somewhere

  • Wow, the worst of our presidents is starting a kid's show and reminding kids about this they wont do

  • @kevinsharpe97 I wouldn't say George Bush is the worst President. Obama is definitely the worst. Ugh, the idea of him and his crazy wife doing the intro is enough to make me vomit in my Corn Flakes. :S

  • Holly shit! i thought that tiny piece in "The Room" critic was made by the NC. How could they make this crap? Alvin and the chimpfucks talking about drugs? No wonder why this didn't came out in my country!

  • 1:37 - Total Weird Al face.

  • thumbs up if u where also high as hell watchin this

  • @3:37 did he just say the brony man?

  • It still baffles and amuses me that a bunch of people got together and decided to name a childrens book character, "Pooh Bear"

  • @dragonforks93 well, actually a bunch of people didn't get together and decide to name him Pooh Bear. The books were written by one man and they were based off of the bedtime stories he used to tell his son (Christopher Robin). The reason the main characters name is Winnie the Pooh is because that was the name of Christophers favorite teddy bear which he named after 2 animals at their local zoo, a bear named Pooh and a swan named Winnipeg. (It says all this in 50 year anniversary pooh VHS)

  • @thequeenundisputed Ah, I did not know that, thanks for clearing that up. :p

  • @dragonforks93 No problem. I watched that movie over and over again when I was little so the information is kind of ingrained into my mind.

  • Only in the land of the free....:D

  • i'm so glad i never watched this show...thank you god

  • 4:59 "those drugs are so whorey"

  • Seriously, a Buck Turgidson quote would have been awesome for this review

On a completely different note, it's nice to watch NC now...

    while he's still here...

and the internet as we know it exists...

and I still have a reason to live.

  • 4:48 5:00

    OH FUCKING KAY!

    DRUGS ARE SO GODDAMNED BORING!

  • i laughed so hard at 1:32

  • Lol,

I showed this to my mom and her reaction to the cartoons talking about drugs was almost the same as the Critic in this vid XD

  • Oh my god george bush is starting this thing off. Oh my god

  • Is this Nostalgia Critic's very first episode? All he was missing was his iconic red tie. LOL

  • @mupty Yes I think is. Its listed first on the site.

  • all our favourite cartoon characters have joined forces to become republicans

  • As a socialworker I would say that this cartoon was outdated since it was aired at the first time. :D

  • i remember watching this in school when i was in 4th grade.

  • marajuana isnt as bad as as everyone makes it out to be

  • my god that was awful i agree with nC

  • Which shatters the legacy of the Chipmunks more: this or Chipwrecked?

  • @PureMadness Is C) All of the above, available?

  • blah blah blah im not an old person blah blah blah your reading my comment so im kepping you from your nostalgia critic

  • "Those drugs are so boring!"

    Wait....How do you know?

  • Dear god!! My childhood has been destroyed! Why Simon why?!

  • DAMN, so CLOSE, to having something sonic Generations or Turtles Forever worthy! just fan service as far as the eye can see!! but no, thye give us ANOTHER STUPID DRUG PSA

  • 5:37 lol

  • well at lest the presidents son is not starting things off

  • I don't think the red solo cup is supposed to be used as a bong

  • Pooh Bear, you magnificent bastard, I read your book!

  • @falkurneeze You have won the internet good sir

  • I saw this in kindergarden. I can hardly remember it. :B

  • wut the wut

  • "what's this?... a joint?

  • i find it funny how bugs uses his catch phrase to lecture the kid its like stfu bugs ill watch u later when im high!

  • hahaha

  • Okay... So if there was marijuana under a bed, it WOULDN'T smell?

Also, they don't know anything about weed...

  • Marijuana is just like anything else you can do. You can let it control you, or you can control it.

  • I couldn't help but to crack up when Simon said marijuana.

  • You know, I was walking down the aisles of Youtube the other day and saw something I haven't seen in years. A video store.

  • Everytime I watch this Special on my old VHS WITHOUT George Fucking Bush Sr., Let them know about the Klit Beer...Yeah!...KLIT BEER?! UBER LOLZ

  • smoked a bowl watching this

  • I was definately the ONLY kid on earth who actually LIKED this special. Thats prolly because I didn't know what HALF the words meant. I was just like "All the cartoons know eachother" lol

  • I love how he lights the bong the wrong way

  • What about the Chipmunks out of control helium addiction? When they started they were baratones. :)

  • how did bugs bunny NOT know what a joint was (immediately)? i mean, have y'all SEEN the references he makes in his old cartoons. it puts me in the same mindset that wonders why my parents let me watch Grease at 10 yearsold.

  • @kinyune i agree. when i watch bugs bunny cartoons now at 17, i get alot of innuendos i didnt at age 5

  • 1:07 so true

  • The funny thing is, the people making these cartoons were probably on more drugs than the entire viewing audience combined

  • Marijuana's bad, mmkay? Dont do drugs, mmkay?

  • @BigCatBertha Mmkay! I won't do drugs random guy! *Lights pot*

  • @BigCatBertha Impersonating Mr. Mackey from South Park?

  • 1:29 to 1:37... I am dead now.

  • its Drugs Bunny there:)

  • You know what the sick thing is? That movie is funnier while smoking Salvia and drinking absinthe. Sick....yes...but funny....most definately funny.

  • I remember they showed us this video when I was in 3rd or 4th grade.

It sparked my curiosity in drugs and at the most, just made me not want to smoke tobacco cigarettes.

  • really?!

  • 3:54 Michael's neck is unusually long.

  • "Blah, blah, blah, I'm an old person." ;)

  • They use to show this special in my health class and I had the same reaction

  • All this special needs is a Randy Newman song.

"Oh druuugs....they kill all the braincells..."

  • the real lesson is: dont do pot, its way too expensive. Try meth or heroine instead. or just become an alcoholic. and live happily ever after.

  • @kakashi76767 It's way too expensive, and it doesn't get you addicted. So I guess it isn't as awesome as Cocaine.

  • We watched this in health class yesterday. *shudder*

  • Who else wants the Critic to re edit this review and insert "ASK ME WHAT IT MEANS!!!! ASK ME WHAT IT MEANS!!!"?

  • i sended a email to him now we only need to wait for the awnser.

i hope for the best :)

  • The Beatles and Elvis...

Just from you saying it I need to change my pants.

  • And it will be alot esier too. With that I mean finding his awesome videos.

  • 2:34 well bugs tom and bunch of other cartoons have smoked

  • Hellooooo? Miister criiitic? I want you to awnser my question or if you are not the critic but know him very mush can you then ask him why hi's not doing a iPhone app. AVGN has hi's own app and erning alot of money because he has many fans. So please do a app FOR GOD SAKE!!!!!!!

  • @nonamefofea I would like to know why Hi's not doing an iPhone app too, i mean a Hi app would be awesome

  • @nonamefofea Go to the website in the description, the Nostalgia Critic probably has an e-mail address somewhere on there, then you can ask him yourself.

  • Have you ever thought of making jokes?

  • What's this? A joint?

  • am i the only person who noticed that the box the dad is holding at 3:33 says "KLIT"?????

  • @Tholen21 ha

  • Artificial highness? So there is natural highness?

  • @pochopaz7381 Orgasms? xD

  • @pochopaz7381 Yes, produced by adrenaline and endorphins.

  • @TheNEWlegokidize Classic...

  • Where His Tie ?

  • Yeah, I had to endure this P.O.S. too, as a kid.

  • ahahaha an after school special about why drugs are bad? I think the kids who originally saw this are now stoners...

  • You know what look at my screen name !

  • We watched this in 6th grade health class

  • This special tought kids . To not trust the goverment at a young . Just like through out history they lie and tell you how to live your life .

  • Jeez, they could of had one joke, or one line of dialogue saying something about drugs. Anything but.... this.

  • Was I the only one who really liked this movie as a kid?

  • I miss this, the way it seemed as though, and maybe he was, watching while he was reviewing it.

  • i think they only re-released this on DVD so NC can rreview this

  • We watched this in fourth grade. 0-o.

  • Cm punk would agree

  • I rember this actually.

  • "BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, I'm an old person. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, I'm keep you from your cartoon. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!!!"

    Gets me every time! XD

  • 7:22 fail

  • I know I should be pointing the finger at the cartoon, but marijuana didn't ruin Bob Marley's or James Franco's career, in fact it sparked it, no pun intended.

  • What's next? Wolverine, Spiderman, Batman and Superman get together to tell kids not to smoke weed?!!!

Here's my reaction, said by the Nostalgia Critic.

    YOU ARE SCUM!!!!!

  • You can tell this is one of his earlier ones, no tie, black shirt, and poor quality camera. Still, it's NC alright. :D

  • @Greatsaiyakirby This is his first review

  • @Greatsaiyakirby Honestly, this is better than the way he is now. During these days, he actually reviewed something while being witty and sarcastic and telling good jokes. Nowadays, it's all about high pitch screaming with forced memes and random cameos and OCCASIONALLY something funny.

  • @AllieRX87 "it's popular, now it sucks" is what you're basically saying.

  • @Scarredgraymouse You didn't pay attention to my comment at all, did you? I never said ANYTHING about him being popular. All I said was his recent videos were less funny and more loud, obnoxious, meme-driven and cameo-driven when his older videos were almost the exact opposite.

  • @AllieRX87 What are you talking about it way more funny.

  • @AllieRX87 i like him the way he is now.

  • CM Punk would be proud

  • Actually, the fact that it was a PSA isn't so bad in itself. The REAL problem is that ABC completely left out the fact that it was a PSA; they just said, "Hey! It's a 30-minute special with all of your favorite cartoon characters!" They didn't say anything about some ridiculous narc-esque intervention (is it really needed for kids and their peers who likely have never even heard of drugs?!?)

  • Do these antidrug people have no shame???!!

  • @MDthornton83 indeed. The only way it can get worse if our generation did this......UGH let's hope they don't.

  • i got stoned last night <3

say no to peer pressure! just because everyone's telling you to say no, it doesn't mean its right!

  • @Harleyquinn191

    Hello lovely paradox.

  • I loved Winnie the pooh when I was little, now I have to re-evaluate my entire childhood

  • ;( WHY SLIMER WHY! You were my hero ( next to stay puft) In Ghostbusters AND NOW THIS!

  • @mrmariofull And for that reason, I'm just glad that nobody else from Ghostbusters or the Ninja Turtles ever appeared in this special.

  • Bugs uses cigars, alchohol, and deadly weapons as part of his gags.

Plus, isn't Alf made for adult TV?

  • i remember seeing this in 5th grade

  • Bugs has been around since the forties so I'm sure he knows what drugs are...why do you think they called him Bugs? Because he used to Bug out all the time before he took up eating carrots, like ex smokers take up nicorete patches, to deal with amphetamine withdrawals. I mean do you think any of the Looney Toons could have kept up the pace without drugs? But its ok, if a falling anvil, boulder, saw or gaping chasm won't kill these mofo's I daresay drug addiction won't either...

  • 0:00 The first of his opening catch phrase.

"Hello, I am the Nostalgia Critic. I'll remember it, so you don't have to."

    ;)

  • @killer92173 And so a legend was born

  • Marjuana really isn't addictive.

  • @666or999 It is, a little, but not as much as people make it seem. Why didn't they talk about stuff like cocaine and meth?

  • @666or999 *Sigh*

  • Marijawana *Spellcheck needed*

    Scuse me?

  • Well... Bugs Bunny DID dress up in black face

  • am I the only one who grew up in his same nostalgia era (eighties baby/90s teen) and yet completely missed this and have zer0 memory of it?? Yeah some how I comPLETLEY missed this and I'm glad I did lol. The way he began describing it I was thinking it was going to be a new Sat morning cartoon marathon/line up but this was just a load of crap. I had enough of the 'after school specials that would come on from time to time, I didnt need this crap. Come on, the Pres introduced it, it was doomd

  • @CubbieBear1980 I remember them showing this to us in like second or third grade. I was born in the late eighties sadly, so I got the ending of the glorious era of the cartoons. Though that said, some of the stuff today was good (i.e. Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends) but, back to the subject, yes, I agree with you. I vaguely remembered this and now that I watched this review, it's good that I don't remember this, ha ha

  • ......so many poor people's childhood memories have just been fucked over.

  • WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT???????????????????????

  • @VanTheGameGuy Every single year in Health class, they show us a video of scientists dissecting the lungs and brain of a smoker, along with a really creepy guy with an even creepier voice telling us about the evils of tobacco. Can I trade places with you?

  • @MistressEsmeralda

I'd rather watch bloody lungs getting cut rather than this abnomination.

  • Omg a top rated comment. I wouldn't have voted it up, though

  • I had no idea what drugs were before I saw this video, and then I got really interested. Because of this piece of shit I did marijuana when I was 11.

  • @K4inan Thanks god they weren't talking about heroin...

  • @K4inan Ha. Yeah, Maybe that's how my dad did every drug he did. =/

  • @K4inan Boohoo at least you didn't get high on your cough syrup.

    Marijuana is fuckin sacred.

  • @HXCDropDead No it's not sacred -.- it sucks.

  • Hey, they showed this at my school, like, ten years ago.

  • The Simon part just floored me when I first watched this.

  • ”Marijuana - used to experience an artificial high” ... ARTIFICIAL?!?!? Then what kind of high do you experience with LSD?

  • @Artprincess247 they realize how fucked up it is. By which point, they will probably addicted to it. "The Ten-Year Old Drug Addict, Ladies and Gentlemen!"

  • @Artprincess247 EXACTLY! And since kids at that age are naturally curious, they will try to get some however they can; asking their parents, or maybe asking those "cool" kids smoking it down the street. And since this special is telling them "NOT" to do it, they will naturally do it. I mean, come on, when have you ever told a ten year old, "DON'T turn on all of the faucets in the house!" and he didn't do it? The point? This will make kids curious about drugs and more likely to do it before

  • What's weird is that I've never seen this

  • @creynolds16 Consider yourself lucky

  • this never aired in my country becouse weed is legal there

  • replace those cartoons with my little pony from friendship is magic, and i'd learn a lesson!

  • This thing was so annoying when I was a kid.

  • Are you friken kidding me? I mean...most kids who would watch those cartoons would be like 5-10 years old, so how would they even know what drugs are at that age? Its makes no sense.

  • I wasn't even born in this time period and I remember this garbage.

  • This cartoon special is a waste of these great shows, it's genric, uninspered and a bore to watch and abolute dispointment to any kid at the time. It Sucks

  • the reason why kids watch these cartoons was because they want to escape from reality like social issues or politics...and having that just destroys a piece of yourself

  • I liked the puff of smoke better when he was an Australian poacher :/

  • I didn't watch half of the cartoons featured in this, but I felt a bit of me die. (What next? Disney characters talking about safe sex?)

  • Most disappointing crossover concept ever. My memories of the chipmunks have been ruined forever.

  • "An unlawful substance used to experience artificial highs" -Simon (Alvin and the chimpmunks)

    hahahahaha

  • Damn I remember when this first hit youtube. Before it all exploded into the big cult of personality.

  • I love Critic's response when Simon said "Marijuana"

  • Comment removed

  • I think the whole idea of this special is that the cartoons are just trying to humiliate us from our modern ways of life, and then just kill us.

  • DRUGS ARE BAD MMMMKAY

  • Ok NVM THATS A TERRIBLE IDEA.

  • Nickelodeon needs a version of this.

    Spongebob,Timmy Turner,Danny Phantom,and Last Airbender.

  • so where transformers if all our farovite character are all here. i can Image seeeing megatron come to that kids say "DON'T DO DRUG BEFORE I KILL YOU" and kid was like "ok,man I wouldn't" or wolverine or even batman would punche the kid for using drug. hey if batman or wolverine would punching me, i would stop using drug.

  • I can't even watch the clips from the special. I am not touching the VHS release with a 10-foot pole.

  • 1:29

NC: So now that we have all our favorite carton characters in one place, what are they going to talk about?

    S: Marijuana

    NC: :D..... scuse me?
