  • I came across this while searching for Oliver Reed. I too had a huge crush on him when I was a teen and most girls liked the young boys you mentioned. Oliver was dangerously handsome, especially in the Assassination Bureau. The actor Rufus Sewell reminds me of Oliver in those days. I enjoyed your story very much, hope you will add more. From an American friend who loves Britain.

  • i met and drank will olly in zambia together with peter cuching.

    nice tits by the way

  • Good story. As an aside, Oliver Reed never won an Oscar in his career, or after he died, but he was nominated for a BAFTA for his role in Gladiator.

  • My claim to fame is Ollie used to live in Guernsey and one sunday morning we were sat in my mates garden shed with him. The 2 of them were opening bottlers of gin and just glugging it back neat. I passed out in the garden for a few hours and they were still at it when I came round a couple of hours later. Sadly my mate died about 6 months later from alcohol abuse...and Ollie in Malta not long after :-(

  • You know, when you hear the phrase, "he's a man's man", Ollie fit the bill. Guys like him, Sean Connery, Robert Mitchum, Sam Elliot, Tom Selleck, etc.--they are well-liked by both men and women. Obviously, women like them, for the most part, for their rugged masculinity, but guys like them because they were cool. They still are (well, their image and memory on film, anyway). Cheers from California.

  • Haha, that was funny, your Dad sounds nice!!

I too love Oliver Reed, he was great - I used to be obsessed with the Oliver Twist film and had a huge crush on Bill Sykes, I wanted to be Nancy (I was only about 9 tho...!). What a great man.

I'm reading a book about him (Evil Spirits) & apparantly he was paid to go on chat shows & act pissed/be pissed to 'liven things up' - he admitted that in later life, I was quite surprised by that..

  • i like the idea of fancying people when u were young, u should look into it.

I liked the women on benny hill. and Kelly leBroc

  • lol, that music at the end.... cmon

I love ollie, and the only reason is cos he's like me. I spend a large part of my life trying to not be like him. lol.

but i like his personality, he is so big!

he has the size and weight of confidnece,

its great when u see a man that is like you... put on muscle easily, love stimulation, physically healthy, and u think that all these gifts you have... are just like a pretty cool guy. God Bless you Ollie!

  • was that 'otley'???...beautiful woman, and i love oliver reed and at the mo look like him with my curling tache lol anyway, i hope she has more videos like this.

  • i met ollie when i was 10...1975..my father was a chef and ollie was staying @ the hotel (he actually chose to sleep in the boiler room and play cards there with the cleaners)..i had the job of delivering bacon sandwiches...he was lovely to me/stories of pirates on his kness...called me piglet and gave me 10 quid per sandwich!

  • flyingvkid, that's a wonderful story and must be an amazing memory for you.

  • He had a similar haircut to robbie at times, thats where the similarities end. For a start you wouldnt call Oliver baby faced would you?

  • Really enjoyed that story. I found you by searching for Oliver Reed, and now I'm about to become a subscriber. Really dig your style of delivery. Keep 'em coming! Oh, and I would be miffed too if someone I knew got to snog Ollie Reed. He was quite a muffin!

  • Ollie wot a star!

  • I so wish he could have been alive to take his Oscar in his own hands:( What a presence he had..

  • one of the greats, thanks Amybtru

  • Being that I'm from the United States I have never even heard of Oliver Reed. But you my dear - you are seriously gorgeous!

  • lol

  • Ollie was great, though most of my memories are of him being drunk on chat shows. He was also a fine actor.

  • one of the best

  • Funny someone mentioned Robbie Williams looking like Oliver Reed. I thought that, too. They also share the same birthday, Feb. 13th. Spooky...

  • that is spooky

  • I always thought Robbie Williams could chub up a bit and play Oliver Reed in a biopic. I still hope someone will release 'curse of the Werewolf' on DVD - nice monologue about him anyway - Gavin, Glasgow

  • Robbie can act? Thanks lavverlylad

  • I always thought my ex husband looked like Oliver, especially the eyes. When Oliver died I cried at the news, seeing the pictures, because he just looked like George. It still affects me. Thank you. I did enjoy your story.

  • oh Carolofcanada , thank you for your comments, Its good to have fond memories although you miss him very much.

  • Great story... nice story about your dad too, can't wait to hear more.

  • Leave poor old Essex alone. He's a real gypsy, you know.

  • I love to listen to you tell a story, very cool! I honestly can't think of anyone that I had a crush on as teen. Oh well, thank you for sharing with us! ~Martha

  • Thank you for watching Martha!

  • Awesome... as usual... YOU ROCK! My crush as a teen was RIck Springfield. I wrote him a letter and he sent me an autographed picture that I still have tucked away... *swoon*

  • Wish I had an autographed picture of Olly! However, a friend recently gave me a postcard of him which is pinned up in my office. And you are talking about the Aussie rocker? Jesses Girl? Thank you Aimenhoodle

  • Yep, the Aussie rocker that sang Jessie's Girl. I LOVED him. I still think he is hot, but am not a fan of his music other than what he sang when I was a teenager... and I only like that for nostalgia's sake. Crush's are fun. As an adult I have crushes on Brenden Fraser and Timothy Hutton. Reeooowww!

  • Can you say... "eBay?"

    I can!

  • How DARE she? Not very Lady-like, was she?

  • True, but I think she enjoyed herself nonetheless. She's still a good mate

  • Totally agree about the drink and the green room ... Michael Aspel show springs to mind actaully, but like you say, he had the last laugh.

  • I think the show they exploited him most on was The Word - that guy Christian openly laughed at him for the entire interview.

  • True, but who will live on in many people's memories? Not Terry bloody Christian, that's for sure.

  • I found your video searching for Oliver Reed. I also thought he was fab when I was younger, even though he was much older than me. Remember when he married his young girlfriend? I remember thinking he must like younger girls, so maybe I'm in with a chance! I once went to a recording of 'The Word' (as The Sugarcubes were performing) I bumped into Christian and spoke to him - he was so rude! he had his head well and truely stuck up his own bottom! I understand your feelings towards your friend!

  • Nice post, lots of little things to like about it. I really liked the way that, when you held up the picture of your dad, while it was easy to see him and the Christmas card he was holding, we also see reflected in the glass, blue sky and puffy white cloud above you. Lovely effect, even if it was unintentional. I look forward to hearing of the big, creepy house. Thanks so much for the typically excellent vid.

  • Thankyou! Given my dad hated his picture being taken I wonder what he would have made of being on YouTube...

  • omg, she kissed him!?! beautiful story! thank you!

  • Snogged! Thats like dirty dancing with kissing. Thank YOU.

  • thank you. you have an inviting way of telling a story. like to hear the others you mentioned

  • Thanks Carol, will be putting those up soon.

  • I believe that people should honor their passions.
