I love a lot of your covers and you have an AMAZING voice, but I'm not crazy about this one. Barracuda is a very tough song to do, because the original is so distinctive. I just don't think you were ready for this. Something else I've noticed about your voice here and in other videos is that you are very very very good at belting out of your chest voice, but your higher first alto second soprano voice is lacking in a polish that people like Amy Lee, Anne Wilson, Pat Benatar have all cultivated.

@iplayesp Thanks for your constructive criticism. I can hit the notes, I chose to sing it my way. So often I get comments telling me I should not sing it like the original artist and that they are glad I did it my way. As for verse 2 that was not included because of time. Most of the songs I sing at Six Flags are cut so I can sing more songs. Verse 2 is in another video at another performance at another event, Thanks again.

@dropshot199 How is this a "cheap shot"? I began with, "Clearly you can sing", which is a compliment on her voice/talent. However, anytime you do a cover, unless you significantly change the arrangement, listeners will have an expectation based on the original. She clearly can't hit the notes in THIS song. All I was suggesting is that she choose a song in which she can either hit all the notes, or change the arrangement to fit her. No offense was intended, just friendly advice.

Friendly advice:

Clearly you can sing, but when you cover a song you're always going to be compared to the original artist, and Ann Wilson is arguably the greatest female rock vocalist of all time.

On this song, you are out of your depth vocally and unable to hit the same notes she did ("down down down" and "burn burn burn"), which ultimately makes YOU look bad. If you want to cover Heart (or anyone for that matter), find a song in your range, or better, a song you can bring something to.

The whole band sounded good. my advice to you, and your group is 'Don't spend to much time on covers" work on creating your own original music because that's where it's at. Your young, the skys the limit! And a band with more than one female musician in it is unique. Don't let anyone tell you that being a good female musician is'nt a plus!
