Freedom Scooter Review/Short Ride

I have a blue version of this! (without the big dashboard thing) It was given to me and i have just bought a load of new light for it off of ebay because none of them actually worked, along with a new throttle and charger. I also built a small 24v circuit so the front and back lights work.

i bought a freedom scooter form ebay, it has new batteries, charger but it stil does not want to go. the charger states it is full charged. what do you think the problem is?

Have you checked the fuse? Does the engine turn over when you give it throttle or does it not receive energy?

Via provided charger which plugs into wall.

It's not street legal so it doesnt matter

i also have a 644 freedom scooter. Its easy to get parts for it. eaither ebay, craigslist, lawn mower places, auto zone has SOME parts, but some palce that ALWAYS has parts is deeks motorsports. u have to Email them, but they had a rear bearing i needed, the 6001Z, and no other place had it exept ebay, but i got it from deeks and it was like 3 bucks cheeper. deeks is not a cheapy place they have good quality items. :) for a low price of corse.

ok we ordered a new key which was supposed to come yesterday but it didnt so i hotwired it

I bought mine from a private owner. You can just take out the key function and put on a switch or you can buy a 7.00 set of keys on ebay .

i bought it from some guy who lives a few blocks away he never rides it and its been sitting in his garage for a year. i gave him 40 for it

the scooter does have a tail light or at least mine does !!!!! xp and ya the batteries will crap out on you soon mine a have only lasted a year for myself after getting it from a friend.

yeh heh i'll tell you a trick so look carefuly open the battery pack thingy make sure you know which one is for light and blinkers and stuff unplug those just make sure the speed is still pluged now unpluge that too once youve done that just plug the battery pack with the engine not with the small box and voila youve got bigger speed >D

yes after you've unpluged the lights horn blinkers etc. you unplug the speed thing from the box and get the cable from the engine and put them together ;)

You will hate me for this, but i got a schwinn S-700 and a schwinn S-400 plus a brand new speed controller and a set of brand new batteries for $45. Gotta love them rich people who are moving haha

Yeah but the horn is in such a horrible place I tap it like 15-20 times an hour when I'm riding it. Horrible design flaw LOL

i put a car batterey in mine it was awesom but the electronic burnt up from all the amps

It burned up for some other reason. An electric motor only draws whatever current it needs. You could power a wall clock with a battery the size of an office building as long as the voltage was correct...

Yeah suprisingly on the street it goes about 15MPH
