that's not true: nemov does 6 releases and in this code you can do only 4 releases; for the rest of his exercice he does nothing and his kovacs his to close he needs to bench his arms to catch the bar, and wit his dismount he makes a big mistake
Nemov is one of the greatest athlets ever. He was all-around Olympic champion, he has won TWELVE Olympic medals.
And this video shows how awesome he was at the end of his competitive sports career.
It's a pity this video does not include 15 minutes of viewers protesting against that shameful score. I was crying back in 2004 watching it. Many athlets won gold but he was the one who was respected by people to such unbelievable point when the whole stadium stood up and booed for 15 minutes.
The South Korean guy didn't get a medal because they didn't contest it until after the competition was over and that is not allowed. If they had contested it properly then they would have given him a medal probably. ::rolls eyes:: They knew the rules. I don't know why when the American had the gold they contested it.
HOw about a little integrity? what's a gold metal worth if you know you really weren't the best? i guess a good bit on e-bay. I'm ashamed of my fellow American who acted like a brat, so low in virtue!
no, if you actually do gymnastics it makes so much sense and it's very fair. look at this routine and compare it to paul hamms-- both start at a 10.0, but aleksei did 6 releases! now, in today's code, there would've been no doubt that Aleksei's is not only more difficult, but deserving a higher score too
no the south korean guy got cheated out of his gold. It was a mathematical error by the judges. Unacceptable. That gold needs an asterisk by it because the error is undeniable and admitted to. I think the judges were too harsh on this one and they took off too much because of the little things that the crowd doesnt care for. Like when his legs slightly separate when hes in teh air.

i was making the "difficult" code simpler to understand. Harder tricks should equal higher starts and in the new code it does.

why did he got 9.725??'
