I have to say as well that Paul Leary is one of the most underarated guitarists of all time. I have always loved the guitar work on this track. Even though the songs are virtually identical, Donovan is singing about religion and enlightenment. Coming from the Butthole Surfers, the same statement is absolutely hilarious and has an almost opposite meaning. This video even echoes some of the shots from Donovan's video...in order to basically say that Donovan is just high.
