I do some sloppy forms of this to subdue my sons when they get alittle out of hand. I miss not going back into Ki-Aikido. I love the lack of negativity/aggression.
Looks very effective and very brutal, almost like the small, sharp movements of jujutsu. Good to see "less pansy" aikido out there, though I can imagine this could be pretty rough on the ukes if they aren't fit enough.
It's the other way around, Suwari waza is when both tori and uke are kneeling and Hanmi-handachi is when the 'uke' (attacker) is standing and tori is kneeling
Yes, the moves look brutal, but the "attacks" don't look anything like real attacks, so this is all just posturing.
