gulf stream loop current dead = ice age.. and it will get increasingly colder as more and more snow and ice are compacted.. reflecting the sun's rays.. spring / summer will be colder..

I think I know you from Netweather.TV but not sure,..??? either way, have been researching your info and you are scarily bang on... have spread your info and docs and blog all over the net... mostly on facebook. Oh and for those who think it will be "fun" to have the amount of snow that is forecast, you better sober up, coz it isn't going to be funny...last year the UK had only a days reserve of gas for the whole country.... think on that,... with the amount of fresh water thats been dumped into the ocean, i doubt that balance is still balanced. i think that the gulf stream is slowly ceasing to operate - and the bp oil spill dosen't help this matter. it will take years - probably decades to recover from this. i think your theory of at least another little ice age is more than likely to be correct.

but ever since the early 90's the ice caps in the arctic have slowly been melting. how much fresh water do you think was dumped into the sea? what you may not know is that the gulf stream relies on a delicate balance between salt water and fresh water to operate.

i agree. i too have noticed many pieces of evidence suggesting the opposite of global warming. ever since 2007, arctic ice has been GROWING in the same place it retreated in 2007. this means its recovering.

Natural my ass =P All that oil at the bottom of gulf of mexico has slowed the gulfstream that brings up warm water to europe. Apparently it only reach's the 47 parallel now. This will effect our climates for a long time. Load up on food.

hey im from bridgend (near cardiff) in South wales, uk..Last winter (2009/2010) was so very cold! ive never seen so much snow in my home-town. So its going to be much more snowy this winter ? :D i love snow, i want loads haha. It was amazing when it fell so heavily :D

Hi WeatherGeek Last winter in the Scotttish Highlands we had a Metre of snow where I live for numerous weeks on end. We usually get a lot of snow up here but last winter was so sustained. Surely we cannot have two winters like that in a row??

I live down south (Portsmouth) so last year saw 12" of snow, week off school etc. Im wondering, in comparison to time when it snowed, what are the chances it will be cold for a white christmas this year? the point is that the 2010 live chart from 2010 clearly indicates the lack of flow & warm water reaching the UK, this will have dire effects on the UK and N Europe over coming winters, I have studied the gulf stream and north atlantic over the years and I do not remember it being like the 2010 data, I remember it more like the 2009 data, the problem is that the NOAA now only offer this data as far back as 3 months ago. no gulf stream presence, low sunspot activity & la nina = mega winters!

People really need to be made aware of this potential natural disaster.

Stock up on non perishable food, and water. Also sleeping bags, and warm clothing. Alternative heating plans (ie calor gas fire) and torches, batteries, and a battery operated or wind up radio.

i've been telling all my mates and family about this coming winter, and most just don't want to believe it. pretty sure this video will jiggle their minds though! Many people on forums think the first half of winter will be bad, but the second half to be milder. what are your views on this weathergeek?
