Can't stand the irate gamer, AVGN does excellent game reviews although I don't really care for the sketches, south park style humor and the whole 'show' thing. Only watch cus I like games..
in the end, it's all about who saw who 1st, if people went online and saw IrateGamer 1st, they'd go for him over AVGN and Vice Versa, i'm for AVGN myself, because he seems to have more feel to it plus more ambitions and not so terrible joke deliveries, i watched that Aladdin game video from IrateGamer and his jokes were groan worthy and i heard lines you'd heavily expect AVGN to say, even his ROOM was an AVGN room replica, it went THAT far.
the ONLY good thing the Irate Gamer ever made was his history of video games video. although it's not finished, it's well done, and shows that he did his research. however, I'm still a HUGE AVGN fanboy, and I have been since 2007
The Megaman 1-9 are very similar and Mario 2 (jap) had some different stuff like the poison mushroom and the storm which make you jump further
In my opinion it isn't bad to review bad games and AVGN also reviewed some good ones like Super Mario Bros 3 (well that video is older but still people could imagine that)
Still Irate isn't as funny as AVGN for me but he has some interesting points

My theory is what AVGN does is nothing new. Back in the 80s there was a guy in Houston, TX that had a game review show on public access tv. He didn't curse but he did get angry over games and the way they played. Both AVGN and IG both are there to entertain ppl and they do a good job w/ that. I watch both because even though IG may be "copying" AGVN. IG does not constantly use shit or some form of shit in every other statement. There are times I wonder if AVGN has a scat fetish, no offense AGVN

Actually I may agree with you on that. When I was a kid I played SMB2 a lot more than SMB3. When 3 came out I was disapointed it had reverted back to the simpler game play and I missed the new characters expecially the mouse bomb throwing guy.

Why is everyone in the comment board so biased? Irate Gamer didn't copy Angry videogame nerd (AKA angry nintendo nerd), nor did AVGN with Irate Gamer. I personally prefer Irate Gamer over AVGN (but only slightly)

IG does a bonus show called "Haunted Investigators" every October, while AVGN does his bonus show called "You Know Whats Bullshit". but anyway Irate Gamer isn't so bad, He did different games on nintendo, AVGN does games on everything. It would be awsome if they did a review on "Angry Video Game Nerd vs Irate Gamer" they did AVGN vs Nostalgia Critic, his vid is pretty cool. and "AVGN meets Captian S" but C.S. dosnt have alot of vids, he stopped makin vids since 2007. IG vs AVGN would be awsome

I personally think irate gamer is better because he doesnt just look at the positive or negative parts of a game unless they are good or suck monkey dick. He also uses wicked special effects and can make you laugh easily. AVGN uses gross things to make you laugh like when he says weird stuff or takes a shit all over bugs bunny. Unless he did gross stuff he would be super boring.

My theory is what AVGN does is nothing new. Back in the 80s there was a guy in Houston, TX that had a game review show on public access tv. He didn't curse but he did get angry over games and the way they played. Both AVGN and IG both are there to entertain ppl and they do a good job w/ that. I watch both because even though IG may be "copying" AGVN. IG does not constantly use shit or some form of shit in every other statement. There are times I wonder if AVGN has a scat fetish, no offense AGVN

Actually I may agree with you on that. When I was a kid I played SMB2 a lot more than SMB3. When 3 came out I was disapointed it had reverted back to the simpler game play and I missed the new characters expecially the mouse bomb throwing guy.
