This is a great guitar. I picked up a guitar with floyd rose when I was still "learning" the guitar, in my first years of playing I mean. You definitely don't need to be a pro to use it, I actually recommend picking one up before to see if you like it or not.

a good amp will help matters to start with. I dont have a great amp but my crate gx 600 gets the job done, i mostly use the clean channel with a guitar processor. it doesnt have a very good dirty channel but then again i didnt pay a whole lot for it. Proabably should have gotten a good combo instead. but i figured this way i can switch the head around at some point. the cab itself is worth more than the money i paid for the whole halfstack.
