It's really sad how YouTube screwed all our webpages com March 7. We were the ones that fueled their success and we made then a Giant. This is what we get for that? I deleted all my videos and moved to Zippcast. I just donated a ton of money and I for once felt it was going to make a difference. I believe if we all do the same YouTube will rott in it's greyness and their 3 yr old that designed it would go and kill themselves.

Yea I am not digging this for sure. Keeping my old page as long as I can. Going to post a forum question directly to YouTube on this on hopefully get an answer. I know what they are trying to do and it won't work. Get a clue Google as just because your Google TV thing went south don't assume it will work here. Not to mention people don't give a crap about advertisers here as it just annoys people. Turning this into some TV advertizing network will fail hardcore as people will just leave.
the best idea is not to boycott youtube because that is like cutting off your nose to spite your face but stop watching and clicking any adverts on youtube. Now that affects google that has paid a lot of money to be able to do this. Google will make youtube revert to the old user friendly design if its revenue is affected enough

As you probably know on 1st March ALL channels will be the new version. Apparently their is a BOYCOTT of youtube on 1st FEBRUARY to protest against this.

It's sad that I must leave my channel on YouTube, too. I have been on YT since feb 2007, and I have nearly 15,000. subscribers. I had 45000+ friends, which are now completely vanished thanks to YouTube.
Sad fact is that YT does NOT listen to its viewers and users...it's killing me. This was the case for the channel design before this one.
An alternative website like Zippcast is a GREAT option IMO. :) let's make it grow. I KNOW that it will grow to be as big as YT at some point.

The new design forced me to cut my subscriptions way back just so there aren't so many updates going on... this will probably be really bad for lesser known youtube content creators.
@UnOwenWasHere I just checked out zippcast and signed up, it pretty much has all the good things youtube has scrapped in recent years, you can rate videos 1-5 stars again. Im going to try and get the word out about it.

@metalsonic10667 You can change back to the original. Just click on 'edit channel' next to the views tab, and under the 'appearance' tab is a button to change back to the old channel.

I too am already going to quit YouTube. I am going to switch to something else. I am looking right now. I really have no idea why Youtube wants to downgrade everyone to this lame channel format. It's like my Channel is so cool as it is. We have a cool channel setup going on right now. I mean if it's not broken don't fix it ya know what I mean? I knew it was too good to last. It's sad that I must leave my channel on YouTube, too. I have been on YT since feb 2007, and I have nearly 15,000. subscribers. I had 45000+ friends, which are now completely vanished thanks to YouTube.
Sad fact is that YT does NOT listen to its viewers and users...it's killing me. This was the case for the channel design before this one.
An alternative website like Zippcast is a GREAT option IMO. :) let's make it grow. I KNOW that it will grow to be as big as YT at some point.
