  • Is Jesus a supported or the 1%? They claim they are gods children and that this is a "Christian" nation yet they bomb, starve, withhold medicine and hide free energy from the masses, they rape and pillage the world for their gains and BOMB IN THE NAME OF GOD! WTF Christians are you all that fracking stupid?

  • Well, Fidel Castro wore a Rolex....

  • Of course Jesus would wear a Rolex.

  • Aptly said! Well done! May this bring shame on all who profess to be God's ministers but don't practice what they preach! (Mt. 23:3)

  • GOD IS PISSED!!!!!!!!!!

  • One guy commented that Jesus WOULD wear a Rolex if it were given as a gift...and he'd be amazed that it kept time. Could anyone have a worse concept of Jesus Christ? Jesus Christ, God's Son, invented time! And no one would be dumb enough to offer him a Rolex...if they did, he'd more likely say, "Thank you, but please sell that, give the proceeds to the poor, and I'll be happy to accept a Timex from you.

  • @sargeanton2 Sorry, who invented time?

  • I thank God that Ray Stevens (a good Christian) had the guts to do this. I get to hear great preachers like John MacArthur every Sunday! How many searching souls are floundering around TBN and some of the other phony churches (like Robert Tilton's and Joel Osteen's) ? It's sickening to think about it.

  • no need for critics! lol

  • its funny yo!! lol

  • The only evangelistic preacher I trust is Billy Graham. Never once, in all his years of ministry, has he asked for a single dime. This man is truly God's servant, wanting nothing more than to bring the Gospel message to the world. And when you think about his very first preaching venue, the steps of the Capitol in Washington D.C., what's not to like?

  • Why not just a $20 watch tell,s the time as well as a ROLEX greed is a terrible thing???????????

    Or the LOVE of MONEY??????????

Will not make you get to heaven any quicker????????????

Or get we your going ??????????

  • He wouldn't even be on a TV SHOW! He'd be on the street doing his ministry!

  • Jesus would wear a Rolex. If he was given a gift from somebody he would. Im sure he would be amazed that a watch could tell time considering the time he lived in. Just saying.

  • @studyhistory2ctruth

You are probably right. He was anti-greed not anti-wealth.

  • There should be a Sunday School subject called Discernment 101, it seems that some people cannot determine who is the wolf and who the pastor...btw Psalm 23 is the only pastor there is...the others they just do it for a salary...take the salaries away and hopefully only very few of them would remain..

  • The answer to the question is a resounding....NO.

  • Those that take money for God's purposes and use it as their own should REALLY live in fear of dying!

  • thank GOD its almost over

  • Preach on Brother Ray! That song makes more sense than 90% of the religious programing on the air today!

How is the world did Jim Bakker get back on TV pulling the same ole crap?

  • lol good one

  • Jesus is dead. Has been for more then 2,000 years. Get over it.

  • 1corinthians 3:16..........enough said

  • i am a god fearing man and sing all over the place. and i have to say amen to brother ray

  • Yeah...or telling children they will go to Hell for masturbation, yet covering up for the predator 'priests' who molest those same children. Sick, huh? That is coming from a Catholic man who is growing weary of the whole mess. JESUS didn't use a gold cup at the Last Supper and St Peter didn't have a fancy cathedral. Sigh...where is John Paul I when you really need him? Siiiiigh...one more priestly 'scandal' and I'm defecting to Canterbury.

  • God, this is a great song,,, Asking me for "Twenty" with "Ten Thousand on His Arm"...

What a great line, it's been about the way I feel about all organized religion ...

  • If Jesus came back today he would be on one of these youtube videos; exposed as a fraud, a charlatan, and even a practicer of new age beliefs. You pharisee's are alive and well - these slanderous videos are laughable.

Sure, Benny Hinn is rich in this world - but he'll be even richer in heavan.

  • @aioee At the rate he is going? Are you really sure about that? I wouldn't stake my eternal soul on Benny Hinn.

  • Some one said if he comes back to earth he would be a shamed. He will come back to earth and he already knows about the way it is.thelongshot11

  • shame on everyone of these false prophets! if you got a problem with what i say take it up with God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Amen!

  • Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity [lawlessness].

Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

  • GREAT HUMOR! I remember when this song was popular in my college days. Was it Tammy and Jim Baker they were singing about back in the mid 80's? One classmate became terribly angry about this song.

  • love the song!

  • 1 Ti. 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Mark 7:7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching [for] doctrines the commandments of men.

  • He absolutely would not brother Ray, lol. I have a feeling Jesus would be more like Pastor Arnold Murray of the Shepherds Chapel.

  • @proudrebel69 I got a feeling that if Jesus came back today he wouldn't be very much like most modern "Christians" and would prob be the sort of person reviled and hated by them. It would probably go down very much like it did the last time (Barring of course an "end of the world" scenario.).

  • @EmperorofCartoons Many will not know Him at His return, they have followed the anti-Christ for so long. The anti-Christ comes at the sixth trump and The Christ returns at the seventh.

  • Do people realize that Jesus went to the people,He didn't set back and wait for them to come to Him.Also He never had a collection plate. He said"You received free, give free. His Apostles preached to all but also supported themselves, the people didn't support them.

  • @anyzany Actually the people did support them. I can tell where you are going with this, but the fact of the matter is that Jesus took a very, what we would call today "socialist" outlook on things.

  • Touch not mine annointed, and do my "profits" no harm! :-)

  • @raythemusicman LOL..These morons are not GODS anointed...

  • Would he let a tearful prostitute wash his feet with her tears, wipe them with her hair and anoint them with perfumed ointment? Imagine if he did that on a TV show.

  • I went to see Benny Hinn because I had a problem. I had a huge lump in my wallet that wouldn't go away. He touched my wallet and, like magic, no more lump! I was saved!

  • @nasaltla LMWAO

  • lmao Joe. lol

  • D

    HEMAYHAVEONEONHISANKLE 1:00

SO WHEN HE PUTS FEET ONTABLE

    HEMAYHAVEONEONHISANKLE 1:00

  • HOWDOYOUKNOWEC

    JESUS LIKES ROLEXB

    HOWDOYOUKNOWEC

  • The way these fake tv ministers are able to make their millions of dollars, is a loop hole in the law called "Tax Exception" They use this to get tax free money. They don't care about ministering to the people and their needs. And even in the regular churches they don't care, too many programs and less preaching of the word of god. They just don't want to get out of their comfort zones. They are just as bad as politicians.

  • @soonersfan2030 99.9% of the time! But Thank The good Lord I know some REAL men of God. :)

  • @soonersfan2030 What I can never understand is do these guys have any fear of what they're doing? Do they really believe they are doing the Lord's work? If not, is money so important to them, and that they don't believe in Christ that they can use Him to make their money? It just baffles me to death!

  • Benny Hinn scares me half to death. I watch him on television & don't understand how people can't see straight through him. I went to a born again church for a while but couldn't understand why the pastor lived in a 2 million dollar beachfront home while i thought the money could be invested in people. I don't go to church anymore. Sad really.

  • @marko0430 , If you think HInn scares you to death, wait til you meet Jesus.

If you're so judgemental bout His servants, here, you'll have a hard time, enduring Him, because all He'll do is throw you into Hell!!

  • @deafgary My dear brother in Christ, Um, "Love thy neighbor as you love yourself", "Judge not, lest ye be judged", "Forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive others", does any of that ring a bell?

Every believer plants, waters, or reaps a seed of salvation in a nonbeliever. You seem to be sprouting weeds. "...and you will know them by their fruits" Um is condemning souls to hell really the message of christ? I thought our job was bringing them to heaven.

    Your loving brother,

    Charles

  • @deafgary Those fake tv 'misisters' are not His servasnts. Jesus spoke about them in His Holy Word like in 2 Cor. 7:13 For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

  • @marko0430: I've seen that more than once but please don't let that

view of supposed christianity be the only view you remember.

  • @marko0430 You should watch Pastor Arnold Murray of The Shepherds Chapel, I believe him to be the real Ma-coy.

  • nothing has changed in 2100 years...

  • maybe if you didnt stare into the idol look for God than you'ld get farther

  • Still want to give tithe to a church or would you rather just give it to the poor directly?

  • Love your video, thanks! It's good to expose these profiteers and phonies.

  • What would Republican Jebus wear?

  • @Bbattousai what cnclude1 says is correct. Man is a dumb creature because:

    1.) We only want to hear and beleive what we want;

2.) Our understanding is limited to what we know. Who else has been patient and forgiven us time and time again? Giving us chances to trust Him. Man would not listen to the other a person. Instead he would kill him/her.

3.)I am no scholar of the Bible but the Bible provides us with alot of information to think about.

  • If Jesus came back today he would be so disappoited in the way things are now if he's not already and I feel once he comes back many people wont even know what is truly happening. Its going to be fast.. Good ol Ray Stevens is so right Jesus wouldnt wear a Rolex and if 10% is good enough for him it should be good enough for uncle sam too. We need to throw away this entire congress and start completlystart it over with ones that will help the people and not their pocketbooks. Amen.

  • @DJGomez1016 INDEED

  • @DJGomez1016 aman brother almost macks me woder also would have happend if the south won way bak when.......

  • @DJGomez1016 Programs to help the people have to be funded somehow. Everyone wants to help others but never on their own dime, that's the problem. You cannot place your faith in individual charity, we do that now, and it doesn't work. Its why we have the most advanced medical technology in the world and the least access to it of any modern country. We have tons of empty houses, yet no one can afford to live in them. Plentiful food, yet people still starve.

    CONT

  • @DJGomez1016 Yet when we try to force the playing field to be even, its demonized as "socialism" and "communism".

People claim to want to help (Many under the guise of being "Christian".), yet no truly significant amount do unless forced (And then they kick and scream.). Very Christ like eh?

  • @DJGomez1016 If Jesus came back today he would not be disappointed because he has always known it how we would be. Lots of people seem to mistake Jesus for some kind of demigod, when in fact he is just an aspect of God. An allegedly all-knowing God. As in, knows all of the past, future and present. So it would be slightly hypocritical of him to be disappointed at something he always knew would happen.

  • @DJGomez1016 We need politicians that are 100% Constitution. freedom, liberty and justice for all, and small government, that is how Ronald Reagan felt.

  • @cathrynafagervik ronnie ray-gun was a brain dead bought and paid for fraud, a sock puppet for rich white bastards like the ones who run fuxxsnooze. ray-gun's brain was Michael Deaver writing on 3x5 cards.

  • Jesus does need to come again.

If only to kick the money changers out of his temple.

  • Yep, a very funny song that is SO true for SOME of these tv preachers. My jaw dropped when I saw the name of the guy in the white car, though he's only been accused. Love the other song Ray sings: "If 10% is good enough for Jesus it" (REALLY) "ought to be enough for Uncle Sam". Ray's one talented guy, he can sing the kooky songs, and then there's "Everything Is Beautiful" -- quite different from the kooky songs. Good guy, that Ray. I enjoyed his recent "We The People" video too.

  • This is a comedic song but makes a very valid point

  • If Jesus came tomorrow you wouldn't see these multi-millionaires for dust

  • i truely belive that not all televangalists. are like that. butthere are those who take advanteg of people. true christianity isn't like that.

  • odds are, if Jesus walked the Earth today...would be looking around and echoing his Father...going "what a bunch of assholes!"

  • This song is just crass, the naked bum gets arrested.

  • Jesus Wear a Rolex? No. Not at all. Jesus, if He walked the earth today, would be just as he was 2000 years ago. He'd do the same things, care about people, pray, teach, heal, and the powers that be would want to kill Him again.

Oh, I doubt that He'd a TV show! TV shows would cover Him, but they'd put Him down. He would have nice clothes, He'd be breaking the law a lot, as He teach in the streets, churches, towns and cities; they'd run Him in.....

  • love it!

  • Hmmm..... only hear questions in this song - no answers.

The bible records that Jesus wore an expensive garmet for his day. Therefore it is not black & white that Jesus would not wear a rolex today. Think it through, if Jesus touched the lives of people like he did in his day with healings, forgiveness of a sinful livestyle, touching the souls of men with his preaching and the like, more than likely he'd receive cars, watches, houses, planes, rings, etc.

  • @bbking0064 the difference is Jesus go his garments from his parents or his own work, not leaching off people who are looking for looking for answers. But it is true Jesus was upper middle class.

  • 15 people wear rolex watches.

  • @LoneLawMan i also do not see the point in people needing to blindly follow some mad fools diabolic ravings giving they're money murdering to satisfy their greed because they're "ordained by go" the pope is also a direct decendent of christ and every king that has ruled since christianity was forced upon the world by yet more violent hypocritical fools if you need to believe in some higher power to be a reaffirm your bland existance feel free but don't assume your interpritation to be correct

  • @realitysimulator its strikes me as odd that you would say that because i didn't say anything about the bible its not even in my last post and somehow i am the one who knows nothing

  • @realitysimulator the bible is mans creation. it was made by power hungry individuals that thought everyone should be like them and kill anyone who wasnt. the bible is insane as is anyone who believes in god. if u can believe in yourself then go off yourself cause u r worthless

  • @Bbattousai you need to chill the fuck out you're attacking the wrong person i didn't say anything about believing in god you incest little rectal bleed and you are no better than a christian it is athiests like you who give all of your people a bad name a zealot without a god meaning you is an idiot with no way to justify his stupidity i don't believe in god i beleive that every individual should make their own decisons in life you choose to be an aggressive cockfuck feel free

  • @Bbattousai I believe that you might have been given some bad information.

    1. Hitler did NOT write the bible. :)

    2. If you read the bible with an open mind, It makes perfect sense. The problem is that it was written in a different way of speaking than what your used to, and that is why it doesn't make sense.

    3. I am no bible scholar but I am confident in myself, BUT... we all have times when we are down. When that happens, It's nice to have acquired knowledge from over the ages to read

  • @Bbattousai I believe that you might have been given some bad information.

  • @cncdude1 where did u get hitler from??? and the only way the bible makes any kind of sense is to ppl who have been brain washed by the church to belive what ever they tell you. its a bunch of made up stories that are supose to make u all nice and caring about other ppl, when in reality ppl r greedy no good bastards and we should go back to the times when problems were soved by killing the other side, not talking to them.

  • @Bbattousai The Hitler reference was a joke. I'm sorry that you have been offended by the human race to the point where you think that killing is preferred to talking. Having a belief in God doesn't make you weak, it does give you a certain peace when you screw things up.

Also if you have been utterly alone, when all your "friends" are gone and your are in the darkest despair. You still have someone to talk to.

If you think that all goodness is gone watch Schindler's list and then tell me.

  • @LoneLawMan it is "christians" like you who cast judgement upon your fellow man and try to make a competiton out of religion think about this the bible just as everything else on this earth is subject to human interpritation i don't need the bible to tell me that there are so many different denominations within the baptist faith alone that i find it hard to believe any of them judge not lest ye be judged yourself you don't know anymore than anyone else so practice what you feel to be right

  • @LoneLawMan I'm not dancing around the issue. I already stated the issue, and that's that the Apocalyptic view doesn't agree with Job's view. I believe you are an ignorant Christian who is masquerading as an intelligent Christian. Here is an opportunity for you to prove me wrong!! Research it yourself! If you don't know about apocalypticism, you're not an intelligent Christian. The whole New Testament is based on apocalypticism! I'm talking to a guy who thinks that 'Paradise' is biblical...

  • @LoneLawMan If you knew about the apocalyptic view, there is no need for me to explain myself. Its self explanatory. You call yourself a well-educated Christian, twice, and you don't understand the contradiction between Job and Apocalypticists? Yes, you, as a Christian, should try to be patient. I, as an atheist, does not have to be patient, since I don't report to some imaginary deity. Research apocalyticism yourself, and you'll learn.

  • @LoneLawMan How's a verse in the bible considered "not biblical"? The book of Job is "bullshit"? Wow, and you're christian? It's Christian, because it's in the Christian Old Testament, and it's Jewish, since it's part of the Hebrew bible. Your statements don't make sense.

I agree with you that Christians are heckled a lot. You are one of the reasons why. Many Christians are ignorant of the bible.

Calling me names doesn't make you a well-educated Christian.

  • @LoneLawMan Don't project your ignorance onto me. I notice you didn't comment on the three views I just laid out for you. You clearly don't know anything about the bible. Read the book of Job 14:11-12. This contradicts the apocalyptic view, and teaches that there is NO afterlife.

All you believe is "Jesus died for your sins." This allows them to continually heckle and insult people, and oppress others. You're an idiot Christian.

  • @LoneLawMan Who is calling who an 'ignorant smartass' and 'chinless wonder'? Clearly it's not me, so it looks like you're the one being impolite.

You are incorrect. None of the three biblical teachings are 'Paradise.' You are completely retarded. What a joke you are! Do you even know which books teach that there is NO afterlife, at all? The three teachings are: Sheol, no afterlife, and the apocalyptic view. The spiritual view, which is NOT a teaching of the bible, was MADE UP LATER. Dumbass...

  • @LoneLawMan Is it really pretty clear? It's pretty clear to me. The bible doesn't have a unified teaching on the afterlife; there are three views on the afterlife in the bible. It sounds like you already have an understanding on what the bible says about the afterlife, so I would find it highly entertaining if you named these views. Otherwise, if you can't, you clearly don't know much about the bible.

  • my pastor makes $120,000 a year. only $20,000 of it is taxed.

  • why doesnt america shoot those jerks i never know

  • I LuV u RaY!!!

  • God: "Thou shalt NOT KILL"

Christian churches: "Convert or we'll kill you becuase you dare to have independant thought"

  • @Keldun Hmmm...sounds to me like you've never been to a real, bible based christian church. If you have a problem with "christian churches", why don't you try just reading the bible. Start with the New Testament and you might come to know Jesus even while having "independent thought".

  • @ecangel1 Actually, I have been to church, and I've read the constantly self-contradicting bible. It was a mildly entertaining story.

  • @Keldun I feel sorry for you and will pray for you. It's not contradictory if you read with the intent to understand. Try again.

  • @ecangel1 the bible doesn't even agree upon the beliefs of the afterlife. even the idea of the soul going to heaven or hell is not even a teaching of the bible.

  • @PiranhaJaw22Here is one and there are many more...time to read your bible again.

And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than with two hands to go to hell, to the unquenchable fire. And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame than with two feet to be thrown into hell. Mark 9:44

  • @ecangel1 as i said, the idea of your soul going to heaven or hell is NOT a teaching of the bible. you clearly don't know what I'm talking about.

  • @PiranhaJaw22 It does agree in its entirety, but being that most christians have fallen under satan's trap, many are misled. The truth of the matter is all three: She'ol/Hades/Hell is the grave of man. Not a place of fire. Proof of this: Eccelesiastes 9:5-10 explains the condition of the dead in Sheol. Jesus was in hell for three days (acts2:31) and Job asked for protection (in hell/in death), until resurrection. Luke 23:43; Acts 24:15 speaks of resurrection, that hell will be emptied.

  • If hell is a place of torment and fire, why would Job ask to go there, and why would Jesus go there after his sacrifice? Revelation 20:13 says Hell will be emptied, John 5:28, 29 says people will come out of their memorial tombs. Hell is the grave, just as ecclesiastes 9:5-10 says it is. The resurrection is not to heaven, but to earth. Psalm 37:9-11 says the wicked will be cut off, that the righteous will inherit the earth. Acts 24:15 speaks of who will be resurrected.

  • John 3:13 says that no man has ascended to heaven. In a nutshell, God's original purpose for the Earth has not changed. The theme throughout the entire bible is one of restoration, a restoration of God's will, his original purpose, and our perfection. That original purpose is Paradise on Earth, not in Heaven. The bible and its scriptures are in harmony, and the ones not understanding are of under specific influence. Satan and his angels will be removed from earth: no more influence from them.

  • A paradise earth with no corruptive influence. Those who don't understand the bible, believe that we'll all go to heaven, that wicked people will be punished in a fiery place for eternity. If God is about equality (eye for an eye), how could he punish a man for eternity, if he's committed less than 100 years of wickedness? It doesn't flow with how God is. Where it talks about everlasting fire, it means a permanent death: no chance of resurrection. It doesn't mean a place of eternal torment.

  • People like Lonelawman can't see the truth, because they believe what their pastor says. They don't seek the truth, they take everything at face value. They forget that the Devil misleads, that he can transform himself into angel of light, making people think that bad things are actually good, that lies are actually truth. They are misled, and this is why none of what they says makes sense, and it's always contradictory. They believe in the trinity (a joke), going to heaven (wrong)...

  • and believe that people should be punished for eternity. There is hate in their hearts, contradiction in their words, venom in their mouths. They practice pagan celebrations (christmas, halloween), support wars, and support human governments when the bible says they're ruled by the Devil. (and everyone wonders why human governments don't get anything right), proof of a supernatural and evil wisdom greater than ours, and greater than those who have less than truth. Think about it.

  • "I know of no one who has done more for humanity than jesus. In fact, there is nothing wrong with christianity. The trouble is with you christians. You do not begin to live up to your own teachings"-Mohandas Gandhi(of the Hindu's). in this case it would be not chargeing any thing "you receved free give free"-Jesus(of the bible.)

  • Hey guess what? You actually don't NEED a church to worship if GOD is really your thing. In a scroll found in the cave of Nag Hamadi in 1945(widely regarded as the closest thing we have to teachings from the real Jesus) It clearly states that you needn't seek out a building to worship god but to look for him under a rock, under a tree even. So does this really mean churches, preachers, priests, ministers and pastors are completely unnecessary? If you truly have faith, I think it does.:)

  • The Bible speaks of people who come into the church as wolves in sheep's clothing. That is what many of these preachers are.

  • This song speaks the truth but the sad part is regardless of the facts there are still TONS of stupid people that believe this God shit is real.

They totally ignore the money and control obsession of religion and buy into fantasy bullshit!

  • @PastorIblis God is real but there are a lot of phoney preachers

  • @jack5505

    Which God?

There have been nearly 4,000 Gods in human history.

We have no more evidence of the Christian flavor then we do Odin, Zeus, Loki, Thor, Enki, Enlil

Religion is all about mind control and money.

    Not one is diifferent!

  • Sad how many money changers there are in the temple.

  • LOL, so far there are 14 thumbs down votes, so, I figger that means fourteen TBN freaks have been here.

  • That is not the point because he already did. The questions are why would Jesus give us rolex? Would Jesus love Rolex? No He did not. He gave us all the good things of life richly to enjoy and not to oppress our fellows. Good things are not inherently evil but the heart of men the user may be. It is not about rolex is about your heart.

  • Hey Ray I know you dont know me but I have to tell you thats an excellent video you made here. Great work

  • These TV Preachers are sort of like the TV Lawyers!

  • Ray Stevens got it exactly right!

  • i hear this they talking about all the hungery people out there and there watch can feed thousands of them

  • Luke 9:58

Jesus replied, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head." ---- Jesus Christ.

  • I bet there's more preachers in hell than drunks.

  • @xvirg I don't know about that, but there's more old drunks than there are old preachers!

  • @xvirg why the hell whould think that

  • The behavior of religious people and their leadership is the best advertisement for atheism in the world!!!!!!

  • well from now on when iam in a church and i "tithe" its going from me example food for the poor if they have a hungar program or things like that maybe even funding for a missions trip not like ive been going stragt in the tithing bowl that way i know that iam giving for God and where it going pretty much not just straight up i think this is an awesome idea but i still feel guitly for some reason mybe i feel likes its selfish ive been brainwashd and thinking this for so long i suppose....

  • @munecagirl22 That's good, but there is a problem. Tithes are used to cover the expenses of the church. Like paying the light bill, water, trash pickup, and the preacher's salary. That's the idea behind tithing. So if you designate your tithe in any way, something's gotta take up the slack for the main expenses.

Of course, many pastors (like my dad) work outside jobs. That cuts down on the main expenses, but it doesn't eliminate them. Do give it some careful thought.

  • If you read my previous comment to another user you will find that the religious leaders such the the Bishop, Quorom President, etc. They all have outside jobs or careers, or are retired, and have families, and they do well, because the lord provides for their needs.

  • @CashPresley32 That is certainly the case, but tithing is still used to help the church pay its bills. Otherwise, your money goes to missionaries or various charities. That's not wrong, of course, but if the church can't pay its bills, you're not going to have a church to donate money to.

Now, your situation is a bit different. The LDS church doesn't operate the same as others, but that's not to say others are wrong in what they do. Others are trying to operate as the Bible says.

  • wicked devils. all of them. they will burn in hell.

  • that is a long line of rat bastards....

  • True song....so very true lol :)

  • oh wow, what i can say at least is that my pastors are blessed because everything they wear people give it to them. God moves the peoples heart and they give them things. Before my pastor was with a pair of red beaten up converse-wana-be's that the rubber in the bottom was totally worn out. God is the one that provides you with the money, all He does is test your heart if your "lord" is money or HIm.

  • @angelacs7791 god does not provide money to people. You're delusional. That would mean he loves rich people more than people who have nothing. Is that reaaly what you believe?

  • @moosehose what one earth does one thing have to do with the other. Yes I believe God provides people with money because He is the Creator and everything you see it is because it was made in the spiritual world first and then it was made by man. But what don't understand is how did you get that he loves rich people more?! He tests your heart to see what you put first money or Him

  • Preach it, Ray!

  • Ray Stevens speak the truth for all you who think that godliness is a mean of financial gain. Just like the Apostle Paul 1 Tim. 6:5

  • i love this song and remember singing it in the car on our vacation in disney when i was little. it was one of my faveorites. this brought back such great memories

  • Reverend Shift Greenbacks!

  • Hell Of A Song ! Right On !!!!!!

  • if you don't know what to say keep quiet, because i know that God wouldn't be pleased with your silly song and comment or suggestions ..haven't you read in the bible that there are roads of gold in heaven...?

  • @jehusprings The point isn't that preachers shouldn't be wealthy. The point is that they shouldn't be wealthy off of the money that SHOULD go to missions or church repairs.

  • Also, I have come across a number of fanatical Christian conspiracy theory nut jobs on here, who have made videos of apparent politicians belonging to the Freemasons etc making satanic symbol gestures with their hands.

It appears the man whom God has not so blessed with the awful hair in 1:52 is showing the satanic Freemason symbol himself.

    Subliminal Freemason media message? Hmmmm

  • @Seektruth1st I've seen one too this fake pastor saying all musicians are freemasons and that the freemasons were satanic ALL lies and that anyone who draws eyes or does gothic is a satan woreshipper he's stalking and harrassing a friend of mine on here

  • @TearisShatteredMoon If anyone are freemasons it is the televangelists. people say the freemasons control everything including and especially the media. So if the freemasons really did not want religion advertised, they would not give these guys air time.

Simple really, but most religious people are too stupid to think figure that out. They think as long as Christianity is spoken it must be good. However they musn't have heard of jonestown.

  • Who is the Mr Hyde looking hunchback in 0:45-0:50? He looks evil ha ha.

  • Preach on Ray Stevens, preach on!!!!!

  • SO TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song was way ahead of its time. I heard Joel Osteen say that he and his wife neither one get paid at Lakewood--they live on their book royalties etc. However,,I work for a call center, and we get people calling every week giving at least $1,000 and telling me that their houses are being foreclosed. I know we should take a leap of faith, but common sense has to come in somewhere. I still enjoy listening to this.

  • im sorry but ive u have an problem with a pastor having a car then y dont u go give ur car away to some one who might need it more, and if u have a problem with the pastor wife having pears then how about u give ur wifes or girl friends away......You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. - matthew 7:5

  • @SMILEYJY people do not have a problem with a pastor having a car...however people do have a problem with a pastor having a mercedes, porsche or BMW and more than one at that.

Is the plank in your eye and ears for that matter stopping you from recollecting Jesus saying that a camel will pass through the eye of a needle before a rich man will enter heaven?

Did Jesus not tell people who wanted to follow him "sell all they have and give to the poor?"

Of course no Christians do this.

  • @Seektruth1st wrong though not 'No christians" don't dispairge all people I knmow alot of people who work hard make good money and use everything they don't need to live on to help others

  • @TearisShatteredMoon There are just as many other people who help the needy that are not Christian. Giving money to the church is a waste of money. The guy in the gutter needs it more.

  • @SMILEYJY I have a problem with stupid people who can't spell or write.

  • Do u not remember Tammy fay and her husband....That is what this song was about.. Y'all took this song too seriously. I remember when all this went down...It wasn't nice..Jim Baker had part of my cousins money and the dogs? had heated houses and A/C in their house. This is not about christianity. It is about the Bakers and Teka Kay.

  • Do u not remember Tammy fay and her husband....That is what this song was about.

  • I love this song and video because it shows us how very stupid the American public is. Anyone who would give money to any of these con-men. deseve to be con. this video shows the truth about these TV PREACHERS. and listen to the words of this song '" would Jesus wear a Rolex on his television show". I THINK NOT!. nuff said

  • So that's means we have to be Poor to be a Servant of the Lord and most of those People who talk bad about those Christian they will not be judge but them so let it go and pray for them. Look yourself first and by the way you can be attached to your money too and you hide it.

  • On Rod Parsley's show the other day, he was asking for people to sew a $10,000 seed. These people don't ever get enough. They always want more and more and more and more etc.

  • The Bible is God`s Word written by men inspired by God. It was written by about 42 men from 7 different countries over 1500 years in time. Every word fits together perfectly. Think about this: 11 of the 12 disciples were martyred for their witness. Peter, many years after he seen Jesus risen from the dead, had a choice to deny Him or be nailed to a cross. He chose being nailed upside down instead of denying Jesus. Before this happened, he had to watch his wife be nailed there first. I BELIEVE!

  • Jesus is alive and well living in the national parks.

  • I don't know but I want to ask him in person someday!
