Yeah, it was a last minute thing.. in a couple of weeks i might put the sountrack that i originally intended put on to this animation, on to this animation.
I even sing it at Aussie BBQs and once sang it at a funeral of a lovely Frenchman, husband of a good freind who reminded me to be proud of my roots... :) Love the Taffs on the debate.. I remember it being "scamio"
@andreagus1 though this is by no means the definitive version :) there are a few spelling mistakes..mis-pronounceations (some cause my mike could'nt pick up th "ch" sound somyimes)...and the audio track that i originally planed to put on i did'nt sort it quikly enough, so the "scrach" that you hear as the audio, is my voice as a last minute replacement. on the "scrapo,scamio,scramio" thing, is'nt "scram" the same thing as to "scratch", do the English say "scram"? or is it a welsh thing?
@blobertblobert.... Yep your right "scrach" should be "sgrech" ....yes, that is what I was aimimg for.... and "scramio" it was some man in a pub, who I never meet before, told me it would be o.k.
Thank you for this animation helps to understand what it means!! I knew what the first verse and part of the second if anyone wans to give me full translation I would be very very very happy. I love this song so much coz my Da and Mam had ten kids and i always think of my mam in the Kitchen with all us kids!!..... Maer byss Marrianne......
I left Australia in at the age of 6 for Wales my farthers home land I am 44 in a few days My father got sick and so we came back to Ausralia for the climate when i was 16. I grew up near Cardiff and learned many welsh songs in the choir junior and high school and this has always been my favorite i forgot some of it over the years but to see it in writing is fantastic i can learn it all again.

@TDuffVids
Careful, you spelt welsh without a capital "w", you could also be on the road to being a bit squirrel.

@TDuffVids
But I didn't spell it as scamio, so squirrels to you too :)

I live in Ely, Cardiff and on Sunday my grand nieces asked me to sing this one. I had a go - scraping along the bottom as a 73 year old should do.
Now I find this version. Brilliant - bendigedig - diolch!
