But Chuck never was 2time heavyweight champ, he never married Adrian, he has no kids, he didnt live in Philly, he didnt rematch Ali to win the title, he didnt fight a fighter who's punches weighed 2000 lbs (Ivan Drago), he never was 59 and lasted all rounds with a guy half his age. Rocky was created by Sly. Rocky is Sly.

@darren0501 That's what they call "literary license" It wasn't just the fight, but the story about Check Wepner being just a "regular joe" getting a shot at the title, is the basis of the Rocky character and the movie. And really, it wasn't Stallone's acting ability or even the script, that made that movie famous. It's fame is really due just to the premise, which was based on a true story, one that Stallone didn't mention at the time the movie came out.
