It's just a trick. He picks people from the street (close to a phone booth) and asks them if he can put them under hypnosis, then when hypnotized he tells them to go to the phone booth and answear the phone where he is on the other line telling them to fall asleep which they do because in suggestable mood under hypnosis.
It's not just random people from the street answering the phone and falling immediately under hypnosis.

If you think that this is going to work on every person (or every person that answers a payphone), then you're just being gullible.
I'm not convinced that this is real, but if it is then he did it with many many many people, and got one that happened to work.

you must be, you are not convinced this is real? derren brown doesn't use studges or actors, he uses psychology(nlp and hypnosis), magic tricks, and a mix of other tricks. what is it, fake?

you fail to realize the simple fact that science is only trustworthy because it is principally self-damning. if you don't believe me, note that in "proper science" nothing can be proved for certain--instead, scientists conduct experiments to disprove what was once thought to be true and in this way further our understanding/interpretations of reality. to say that science leads to truth is to not understand what science is. -continu
