  • r.i.p. angelo dundee greatest trainer of all time

  • joe rogan brought me here

  • one of the best fights...very stategic tactics from both Foreman and Moorer

  • Moorer is a very underrated fighter, Archie is a very underrated trainer, and this ia very underrated fight (overrated in other ways). Foreman's fight tactics were a lot more brilliant than most realize. Archie Moore had a perfect plan against Moorer

Imagine Moorer V.S Archie in both of their primes! What a fight that would've been! Who do yout hink would've won? Either way, KO or TKO, likely.

  • Whole fight - brilliant. Thank you very kindly.

One of my favourite, most memorably nights in all boxing history. All sports, for that matter.

  • One of Foremans finest hours....

  • i swear, foreman looked like a grandpa in this, he looked much older than b-hop at 46

  • This was a big fight

  • Cortez is such a bitch but he's been there at so many moments in sports history.

  • 0:50

michael buffer without gray hair? almost didnt recognize him

  • hey,no dislikes

  • forman had dundee in his corner?both of them are legends

  • Ahahah. @7:19 "Our sparring partners were better."

  • I remember watching this when I was 12 with my Dad and his friend. :-) It was a truly epic moment when Foreman won. It was also then that Sly Stallone first got the idea to do a sixth Rocky film, which I would later be an extra in, and the film became my most loved movie ever. Thank you Big George. Your dream spawned several other dreams to come true. :-)

  • @Zeeboe i thought he made the sixth rocky film because the fifth rocky was crap..i stand corrected...he got the idea 2 start the first rocky watching the ali v wepner fight as he was in the crowd that night

  • @BOXINGFANFAN - There were various reasons why he made it, and yeah, Rocky V being so off-key was one of them. And the more I study boxing history, the more I see where Sly got his ideas from. He's been inspired by many real boxing events.

  • @Zeeboe He was inspired by the ali and wepner fight.as i have said.....he couldnt believe how much punishment wepner could take from ali

  • @BOXINGFANFAN - I know. lol. I wasn't aruging. I was just adding that Sly got his ideas from other real boxing matches too, the first being Ali and Wepner's match like you posted.

  • @Zeeboe He talked to fighters when he was doing his research. Mickey is just a rip off of Chickey Ferrera.

  • I think this should have been fight of the year.

  • No sound?

  • Nice upload mate. At 4:48 Lampley says they are the same trunks btw.

  • Nice upload mate.

  • In the center of the ring with no holding. A crowd pleaser.

  • no way foreman would beat vitali klitschko! foreman in his better days, was too slow for the present Vitali !

  • Funny to compare these fighters to the today's heavies with all the white Easterners. These "champs" would just be competitors today.

  • @MsPsycho29 Foreman would beat the Klitschko brothers.

  • @MsPsycho29 you know shit about boxing

  • @MsPsycho29 like when lennox fought vitali....lennox ftw

  • @MsPsycho29

    LoL.

  • You know that the 13-0, 8 KOs is not Michael Moorer's actual record Its 35-0, 30 KOs

(But I understand that it was to show his Heavyweight record)

PS: not to sound like a complete asshole, but unless Foreman somehow took off the white GF on his trunks.... then those really aren't the trunks he wore at Zaire. They look the same, but his initials are missing. Look it up for yourself.)

  • @LMLR187 You are correct. NO GF...I miss that.

  • @muclesmarinara I guess he would have struggled to fit into the old shorts

  • @LMLR187 im sorry i didnt research the fuckin shorts calm your tits

  • @wildabeast63 hey you don't have to get fuckin upset at me. You act like I just bitch-slapped you, read again: i wasn't trying to be an asshole, just putting out what i thought was a fact. I wasn't angry, I wasn't pissed, i wasn't irritated. I was calm. You the one getting all bitchy. so please.....relax. you know wat if it makes you feel better, I'm sorry. Sorry i made you feel bad in correcting a simple mistake, there you happy? -_-

  • @wildabeast63 Bitch, you just dun got OWNED!

  • @LMLR187 those where the trunks he whore in zarie

  • @KIMBOSLICE66666 I don't know. i mean what happened to the white "GF" that were on his trunks in Zaire. they could not have been removed even after all those years.....i still have my doubts.

  • @LMLR187 Good call on the trunks also possible that over the years if they were just pressed on letters then they might have fell off.

  • @LMLR187 He probably had the clothing altered over the years. The pants have obviously been let out.

  • @capablemachine well you know i will say this. i 'did not' rule out the possibility that the trunks were altered. and perhaps they were and i actually took time to to listen to post fight interviews where Larry asks him about the trunks. and though the answer is a bit 'jumbled' i think Foreman did claim those trunks to be the ones he wore to Zaire. i had my doubts before, i still have some right now....but i can't argue against the man who knows more on the matter : George Foreman

  • @LMLR187 Blah blah blah...i think he meant they were the same design

  • @BOXINGFANFAN i'm not trying to be an asshole, and i don't think so since jim lampley would say it again for a documentary covering this fight.........but then again i did make somewhat of a retraction since i saw the post fight interview where big george might have confirmed the trunks.

  • @LMLR187 Foreman trunks. Before he was HW champion in the 1970's Foreman wore red trunk without his initials on them. I think the first time he had the initials on them was his first or second title defense. Not sure if he added the initials to existing trunks or got new ones with initials on them. 1994. he chose the same red trunks from the Ali fight but stated that they were faded and that the initials were "worn off." It's very possible that those were the trunks from the Ali fight.

  • @muclesmarinara my friend, i too heard an interview post-fight where he made these statements, and i am no longer disputing the trunks. i was working on a hunch from seeing the initials on the trunks for the ali fight only to not find them here in this fight, but i've decided to no longer push the envelope

  • @LMLR187 So they were the Ali trunks you think?

  • @muclesmarinara at this point (i'll always have doubt) but i'm not gonna further dispute foreman's claim that they are. but i can assure....some other viewer will question me again.

  • @LMLR187 Ha! Yeah just human nature I guess. I'd say they are the trunks but who know. Not a big deal either way.

  • @muclesmarinara you kno, given that at least 3 or 4 other people had replied to me on this case in the one year its been here. some might find this big.

  • @LMLR187 Ha! Yeah well this happens.

  • @LMLR187 those are the same trunks worn against Ali in Zaire. The trunks were altered due to foreman not having the same physique he had in 1974 but they were the same trunks he wore.

  • @blupac10 well friend...i don't want to restart an argument, but the reason i questioned it was the White initials he had on one of his trunk legs in the Ali fight were missing in the Moorer fight......but of course given the long span of time and the fact that Big George said it was the trunks himself.....i am neither looking or trying to question its authenticity anymore.

  • @LMLR187 After 20 years, them shits can easily fall off.

  • @ph1484 20 i'm guessing you're speaking of some personal experience, i'd say it wouldn't fall off that easily if it were machine stitched patches or the kind of stitching you'd see on an mlb ballcap....perhaps they were ironed on or painted on which could very easily fall off.....but you know what, i don't want this argument to flair up again. so as i said before, i am neither looking or trying to question its authenticity anymore.

  • @LMLR187 lol,,this are the same trucks,,foreman say it him self in the interview,,ive watched it on youtube while ago,,he just modiffied them,,cos he is like 2 times bigger here than in zaire,,sorry,,i just felt the urge to act smart :D

  • @gasraff well take solace in knowing that you weren't the first and you surely won't be the last my new friend........that considering that i stopped arguing the point....
