  • If you run I will vote.

  • i'm with Rand on puting a clause in all government contracts saying you can't lobby or contribute the PACs but I know that the second we get there we are going to start arguing over time periods for this ban on lobbying. And when left libertarians like myself start proposing that it needs to be at least 5 years to have any effect, he is going to come at us with "it's an unconstitutional abuse of federal powers and infinges on our 1st amendment rights.

  • Constitutional, that is all that is needed to head in the Direction of Renewed Freedom, Support the Founding Fathers and the Constitution.

  • I think Rand's the man, but I also believe 9/11 was an inside job. Building 7 didn't fall in 6.5 seconds because of debris. We need representatives who will fight for the people, which means uncovering the truth as to why we're spending a trillion a year on "defense", because to me it sounds more like offense. We need to cut the military budget, across the board, and we need to get back to the Constitution. Otherwise we're fucked!!

  • Every Senator should view taking the nation to war like this. If we followed the Constitution and declared our wars so that everyone is responsible for the decision, we wouldn't have all of this political infighting about it (and oh yeah, we might actually win a war when we have to fight one). Having Senators like Dr. Paul in our federal government to administer our nation's constitutional duties would be a welcome change to what we have now. I wish there were many more men just like him.

  • I don't agree totally with Rand on foreign policy, but under no circumstances do I think he's part of the MIC or the corporatocracy. I have no problem with being forced to go to war in defense, but the main problem is with, like he said, lobbyists and corruption which causes us to invade countries willy-nilly for ECONOMIC reasons.

Read Confessions of an Economic Hitman and it'll explain EVERYTHING about our modern foreign policy.

  • It's too bad Rand doesn't share his father's views on anti-intervention and closing GITMO Bay. He's turned out to be another neo-con in sheep's clothing.

I would probably vote for him if I were in Kentucky just because of his supposed views on the fed, but I sure as hell wouldn't trust him.

Hope folks don't get too disappointed. I guess there's no such thing as a good politician.

  • @rosiechanel you are wrong about Rand Paul. We anti-war conservatives worked really hard to elect him. He is NOT going to go along with the NeoCon agenda. It's time to celebrate that a "Paul" got elected to a state wide election. People like Rand are going to stop Obama and the Neocons from starting an unnecessary war in Iran. It's time to start supporting him instead of peeing in the punch and nitpicking about petty things.

  • @MyVerkOuts He has said some things that would indicate he will vote for war authorization and defense spending. You don't have to go out of your way to look it up.

Like I said, I would have voted for him if I lived in Kentucky. I am also going to watch closely and see how he votes. Putting your hope in any politician, no matter who they are, is only setting yourself up for regret. Best.

  • suck an illegal's dick rand

  • I support Rand Paul too.

I sincerely hope that Kentucky elects him to the US Senate.

  • I support Rand Paul too.

I sincerely hope that Kentucky elects him to the US Senate.

  • Is that a permed squirrel on his head

  • Is there waste in the military?...Hell yeah the more the military spends and expands the more politicians and ceo's that own these companies like KBR, Fluor, DynaCorp make money.

  • This tactless moron's foreign policy is simply to give it to the Israelis and obey whatever they say. Mother fuckin circumcised small headed loser.

  • @gingowitch Way to make a baseless accusation jack-ass. If Rand Paul is like his father (which he seems to be) then he isn't pro-Israel at all, he believes in no entangling alliances, and there is no other way to describe the Us-Israeli relations, so learn before you speak.

  • @Hashishin13 shut the fuck up u worthless slime ball. he sent out an email to his supporters saying he will support israel's military actions no matter what. are u some kind of psychic that u can say he is like his father, so that when the time comes he'll vote to support an israeli act of aggression. u are so dumb it hurts me.

  • @gingowitch The heart of the issue is that ion 1947 congress sold there selves out to the UN. They treated there power away to the UN the issue is that the UN was created by Rockefeller we know where that rabbit trail ends... This may explain the extraordinary interest in Israel in the Part of the US congress. I have a manual you can Google its called the Jefferson Manual this was written by Thomas Jefferson on how to operate the senate and congress. When a congressman breaks the rules email

  • @deathmarch5 i believe the heard of the issue is circumcision in America, it needs to be banned plain and simple for all men worldwide but in America first in order to have a real country with integrity toward their human body. U are born with a foreskin, u should die with a foreskin.

  • What can I say? He's a statist. He'll use all the statist tools, & that is the problem. Statism needs to die, not change members.

  • @rockstarofredondo Min-archists, which is what he is is the middle step between statism and anarchy, so go suck it up and stop calling the lesser evil, evil, you will scare away the sheep.

If Rand Paul came up against John McCain would you still not vote, and be pure to your principles because they are both trying to work in the framework? If you said yes, without any mitigating circumstances you dreamed up to weasel out of truth, then you are an idiot.

  • @Hashishin13 Wow. Can you expect me to give a shit about anything you say when you are such an aggressive asshole? You've managed to tell me to "go suck it up" & call me an "idiot" before even knowing what my answer to your question would be, all in response to my un-offensive 3-line comment. If you are this much of a dick in your real life, I feel very sorry for whoever has the misfortune of encountering you.

  • @rockstarofredondo Well I was dead on, you do need to suck it up, either that or you are an idiot, as those are the only two excuses you could possibly have for ignoring my argument entirely just because I hurt your feelings while making it.

In case you are the latter allow me to explain: ad hominem(personal attack) is a logical fallacy in an argument, but instead of merely pointing this out you and addressing the real issues(probably because you are incapable of doing so), you continue fallacy.

  • @Hashishin13 Please. Don't flatter yourself--some douchebag commenting on youtube could never hurt my feelings. I refuse to answer your question as you call me an idiot & tell me to suck it up before you even know the answer, as I would do in any case of ad hominem attacks. YOU are using logical fallacy--don't try to turn things around on me to make yourself feel better. Go get therapy.

  • "We" inflamed the entire region. Go to hell.

  • @BOOTYMAX5000

You're right, we didn't, the neocons did. At least Rand is a true conservative.

  • @BOOTYMAX5000 Well the government is going to inflame your nation moron. U can cry you cry baby and whine you bastard, but ur time is coming.

  • @BOOTYMAX5000 So you don't think 1million dead Iraqis killed over false pretenses is inflaming? Or so ignorant that you think the President accusing Saddamn was proof enough for a million people killed?

  • People shouldn't all assume Rand is exactly like Ron.... Especially with his thoughts on Afghanistan

  • Ron supported the invasion of Afghanistan, but wanted Congress to declare it first!

Otherwise Rand and Ron are quite similar; the other big difference being the tribunal issue.

  • As long as Rand supports Palin I will not support Rand.

  • I hear you; Palin is, of course, a moron. But I haven't seen any evidence that Rand Paul is supporting Palin. Rather, I think he's accepting her support, which is reasonable under the circumstances.

  • He doesn't support her, he just didn't decline her endorsement.

  • kind of wish he was more like ron paul when it comes to foreign policy....alas it all does not matter what i think though as i don't live in kentucky

  • I think the argument that war is kinda justified as long as it's declared falls under the same sick neocon thinking. His father should have taught him that state wars are incompatible with freedom at home. 9/11 should be treated as a private crime and dealt with through police and headhunter activity.

  • @truevoice08 Way to actually listen to the video before commenting, christ. He literally says exactly what you just tried to criticize him for not saying. Namely that special forces should have been sent in as a policing action.

  • Well, I do...and I agree with you.

I was for Rand as soon as I heard he was running here, but his views on gitmo and trying terrorists in a military tribunal are really turning me away.

  • I like Rand and I support him ,but I disagree on Afghanistan, we should not even be there.

  • i do as well but thank god he would demand we at least declare war

  • We need to bring our troops home from around the world NOW. We can no longer afford to be the worlds police.

It's one thing to decide what would be a declared war, but the only reason we are having to make these decisions is because our foreign policy has caused extremist to be created who hate us because we are there.

None of these countries are any of our business.

We shouldn't have declared war on Afghanistan, we should have done what Scherer said. ... and gone in quick and got out.

  • He doesn't talk like a politician. He's attacking GOP sacred cows.

  • so he does or doesnt support Israel?

  • Not sure about Rand but his father would be the first anti-zionist president in probably at least 100 years. That would be beautiful

  • anti zionist i dont want that

that would be like saying let the borders free and all the illigal mexicans into America...... no thanks

  • Haha...what? How is it like that. Being anti-Zionist means not allowing the United States, its influence, its resources, or its military to be used to further or support Zionist ends. Zionism is the belief that the Jewish race or faith has a god-given right to Palestine, and must recreate the full state of Israel, at any cost. If Israel or world Jewry wishes to engage in such immoral conquest, let it be on their heads, with their money and their lives at stake. It has nothing to do with America.

  • i would say 99 percent of jews in israel want palastinians to have their own state.

no one really wants to keep fighing except for politicians.

  • I guess someone should tell that to the colonists building their nice new homes over the rubble of palestinian communities that have been ethnically cleansed. However, if what you say is true, then if the US would stop subsidizing Israel with money, weapons, and uncritical support in the UN, then it would be a wildly popular move to the common Israeli.

  • OK that explains everything now... you are retarded.

  • Anarchy is not a viable solution. The lack of the state will not create goodwill either. There is no utopia. The government exists to protect the rights of the people. It seems you are letting your ideological visions get the better of you.

The state is absolutely necessary. Without the rule of law, all you have is a dictatorship.

  • The rule of law is non sequitor. Rules are made, enforced, and ignored by men. I suggest you look more into anarchist agruments if you are serious.

  • Communism as a concept outside of government is not a bad idea. You only run into problems with such ideas when you create communism by threat of violence. Charity, for example, could be considered a communist idea. The difference between the two is that one is created by force and the other is created by good will.

The society that tries to create charity by force is doomed to failure. When you force charity at gunpoint, you create resentment.

  • You sound like my friend and I. I completely agree.

  • In comparison to what? Right now? I thought a lot of the problems that we have now was because our current system is so flawed. How does continuing such a system produce any method of change?

With a stable currency where the banks don't get first dibs on pre-inflation dollars, then yes, I would argue that the poor and those with the least among us will be better off. Their savings will not be constantly eroded.

If we continue the current system, we can expect more of the same.

  • It's a long process to end the fed. You cannot expect that type of thing to happen overnight. The fed pulls strings on the flow of money in order to influence the economy. The economy is a web, and pulling a string connected to that distorts the economy in ways that the outcome cannot be determined.

By ending the fed, we can easily get back to a sound monetary system that limits the powers of government in regards to spending. That is the end game.

  • On a declaration of War: If a President asks Congress for a Declaration of War, the evidence for that declaration should be iron clad. If that President spins or fabricates that evidence, the Congress should impeach that President and he should be put on trial as is in the Constitution. To do otherwise is a violation of Congress oath of office. That is quite clear in the Constitution. This is the problem in "our" government. Because it was 'Our" guy in office, they refuse to do it.

  • He says that Afghanistan was partly to blame for 9/11, but then: Who blew up the 3 World Trade Center towers?

And why is the government not interested in bringing them to justice?

Highly placed Americans made 9/11 happen. Thats where all the evidence leads to.

  • Israeli Mossad were witnessed setting up to film prior to the attack and then filming and celebrating as it happened. Source; NY Times There were also numerous reports of truck bombs.

  • That is correct. Mossad knew about it and probably helped it happen imho.

I think the organizers where people like Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfelt. George Bush surely helped with the cover-up after the fact.

  • OK you tell that to the retarded christian rednecks who are ready to kill for Israel. These Huckster McCain voters

  • Bottom line, if Rand Paul were in the Senate, we would be SOO much better off than without his thoughtful manner. The only thing I ask for in a Senator is honesty and intelligence.

  • I may support him but I would like to see more from him in that he i s100% constitutional . I just do not get the feeling he bases his decision on it as much as his father. Welfare is unconstitutional and should be left to charities and it is part of the huge drain on our economy in combination with the military and other programs. Everything adds up...Also he sounded like he was not against the Afhanistan war and that sends up red flags for me too.

  • But who would we have declared war against? The government of Afghanistan?

  • Well I think that's the point. With a declaration of war, something believable actually has to be presented to Congress in a formal manner. Such a process would instantly reveal the emptiness and destructiveness of all warmongering proposals.

  • Too many ambiguous statements and pronouns to accurately respond to your comment.

  • If I remember correctly Ron was the only candidate who wanted to US to stop wasting our money on the parasitic state of Israel.

The government is so filled with zionists it scares the hell out of me

  • obviously you have never been to palastine or israel so you really have no clue whats going on...

  • and you have? it doesn't matter I've been observing history and your "chosen people" side is not going to change what I learned.

There is a reason why they have been persecuted for centuries.

  • we because jews have been through so much shit? we are the really minority

the only race that has suffered as much as us was the native americans

  • go ahead and explain to me in your "non biased" view why Jews have been persecuted throughout the history unlike the others.

  • @TheEbonicslover First answer the question which Jew? and What is a Ashkenazi Jew?and are they really Jews at all?

  • "the only race that has suffered as much as us was the native americans"

    WRONG

Read your own sick sick biblical literature.

teh short list: Bethelites, the Amalekites, the people of Jericho? Murdered to the last innocent newborn babe. Completely annihilated by God's chosen people.

Also, how is being jewish constitute a "race"? All near east origin humans are Caucasian. This is basic anthropology.

You need to put humanity before your selfish tribalism. Go atheist or go home.

  • hmmm cool thanks thats another way to look at it

  • yt ate my post i think...

i wanted to point out that we are not victims of the past, but are the product of the past.

I would be very wary of anyone who wants you to think of yourself as a victim. You can be more easily led, and are more likely to do very bad things to others if you are convinced that you are a victim.

  • I can donate some cash to this cause

  • Oh my! What wonderful news!!! I know who my favorite Senator will be, by a mile. Great video Rand, speaking authoritatively and at length about the issues just like your dad.

  • I like Rand, I'll definitely support him, but he just doesn't inspire the same passion in me that his father does.

Ron Paul is my gold standard. Why does he capture my imagination so dramatically as no other politician ever has?

  • Ron does have many a year, many a book, and many a speaking engagement under his belt though. Rand is very new, and I think it's fair to say he is much better than almost any new candidate we've seen in awhile.

  • Very fair to say.

I hope Rand studies his father and picks up on that "je ne sais quois" that his dad has and makes it his own.

  • You'd have to be AWFULLY lucky to get another great national figure who is as intelligent and inspiring as Ron Paul running for the Senate in 2010. Well....you must be awfully lucky...because you got him! Dr. Rand Paul is the impossible candidate...every bit as fiery and articulate and inspiring as Ron Paul himself. Who do you suppose got Dr. Rand Paul started on such an inspiring path? Way to go Carol and Ron.

  • Now whats your policy regarding Israel? Answer it wrong and the msm will bury you

  • Just donated!

  • on 6/01/09

please consider going to randpaul2010 and giving just $5 or $10

    Only what you can afford.

Give Dr. Paul a chance to make a difference.

This day you can have a voice.

  • give money .... let him fight!

  • Kentucky should have proud to have Rand on their side. Makes me want to move there.. Beautiful state.. and wonderful people there too..

  • I was born there.

  • I hope he gets the senate seat in 2010. He will keep the Ron Paul revolution going. Ron & Rand are Americas last hope for freedom.

  • thank you rand,,, WE'll be back

  • The man sounds completely reasonable. I hope Kentucky elects him.

  • I am happy to hear that you like Dr. Paul.

  • please donate to dr. rand paul 06.01.09

  • i like Rand Paul

  • I like what I hear - Rand Paul 2010!
