Are you aware that the original constitution was signed by 13 sovereign countries who entered into a VOLUNTARY union? At the end of the war to prevent southern secession Lincoln forced the southern states back under the federal government, in doing this he literally ended the use of the constitution as the foundation of government. Texas also has one of the lowest tax burdens in the US & in fact has no income tax. I don't want Texas to leave the union,but if they did they'd be fine.

Almost every student I ever got from public education could not pass even the 1st level of math (knowing the combinations w/out using fingers); cud not add, subtract, multiply, or divide; did not know the parts of speech. This would all depend upon the overall amount of taxes Texans send to Washington as compared to how much they receive back from Washington. Some states only receive 70 cents for every dollar they send in. Other states receive more dollars than what they pay in.
Texas would probably fare very well if they seceded, for their economy is commendable. If subversive forces take-over Washington how could we still call America "America"?

I'm not a Republican but a Texan, and I'd be all for Texas as a nation. Texas is the size of France. We have oil, cattle, hundreds of miles of gulf coast, more than 4 major cities, ship channel, aerospace, desert, plains, hill country, swamps, you name it. We have freedom, gun rights, the hottest women and the best food. If we had to, we could exist as a nation and thrive. Love it here.

It's no wonder people have suggested they want to Audit the Federal Reserve System to know where all the money has really been going. As if were not being taxed enough don't worry about it they just print more money devauling yours even more. Are you aware that the original constitution was signed by 13 sovereign countries who entered into a VOLUNTARY union? At the end of the war to prevent southern secession Lincoln forced the southern states back under the federal government, in doing this he literally ended the use of the constitution as the foundation of government. You might be saying: "so what?" well what it means is that the federal gov is illegal.

@Hashishin13 I didnt mean that Texas was part of that, I meant the actions by the federal government would be the same as during the Civil War when the confederate states succeeded. Lincoln went to war with them at first to reunite the Union then changed his stance to end slavery. The federal government completely ignored the states right to succeed and they would probably do the same if Texas did because Texas is a huge contributor to oil as well as other jobs and money

@EsClayWilson As for Texan efficiency,from 08/09--08/10,Texas alone created more than 50% of the nation's net new jobs. During that same period,California lost 112,000 net new jobs. Texas is a model of fiscal restraint. In 2008,Texas state & local expenditures were 17.3% of the GDP as opposed to California's 25.5% & 22.8% nationally . Texas also has one of the lowest tax burdens in the US & in fact has no income tax. I don't want Texas to leave the union,but if they did they'd be fine.

Texas have 24 million residents which is a lot bigger than a lot of European countries, should they not have independence? Texas is big enough and developed enough to stand on its own. The US is the size of Europe for fucks sake and no one seems to have a problem with Portugal, Ireland, Luxembourg, Switzerland etc... being independent. This fat announcer is ridiculous.
