  • hey nice video :) its great!! just i look on the link in ur discription and they havent got them in and dont no if they will... is there anyhere eklse i can get them 1 ?? cheers

  • how has the Velcro held up?

  • Whats the song at the end??

  • puberty at 0:24

  • 1. Buy some mechanix gloves

    2. Sew some heavy duty velco to the palms

    3. Buy the slide pucks with velcro

    4. Boom.

  • Slide Gloves at RonJon for 42$.. Screw this.

  • Hey can you send me a pair for free?

  • loaded dislikes!

  • @Wake2Sno its a acrylic material used in countertops. you can get decent sized samples at lowes or home depot for free. They usually last longer than your longboard does and they are really good for slide gloves (although they are a bit heavy)

  • What corian

  • Those cutting boards wear away too fast! Corian is the way to go with some leather gloves.

  • you forget to say something. Always wear a helmet!

  • Nice ima make them

  • Did you sew the velcro to the gloves or did you glue it?

If the puck wears out, can you remove the velcro and stick it in to a new puck?

  • use racing gloves-atv cheaper....

  • Just wondering but do you think you can make a nice pair of sliding gloves out of old dirt bike gloves??

  • It will be great if u could make a replica Loaded freeride gloves.

  • does the velcro hold as well as the melted plastic did does it tend to slip off at all?

  • Can't you put a bit of super glue on the glove and then stick the adhesive side on aswell ??

  • what wheels do u use

  • Hold on... You spent $70 dollars plus labor and gas to make a pair of gloves instead of buying a pair that were $90 after shipping...

  • @jdlngstn no he spent 40$

  • i am an owl

  • @dylankunaikennedy123 no way dude. me too. I haven't been able to tell anyone out of fear of being ridiculed but at least i know that there are other owls out there who use youtube.

  • @csaw12 thats why its a business

  • @csaw12 they never said they were cheap. loaded sells them for $90 and these cost about $70ish. the title never says "cheap" any where in it. it says "loaded style" which can also be thought of as... expensive.

  • I just finished making my gloves a few hours ago, i only have a puck in the center of my hand and they work perfectly and i just used a heat gun to melt glue onto my glove :)

  • Why didn't you just buy actual loaded gloves? you have over a thousand dollars worth of boards

  • damn man those are the butteriest slides ive seen! great video too definately going to try this since i really need a pair of gloves.

  • What are the dimensions for the single finger piece puck?

  • you know what they say about big hands...

    big gloves.

  • @huskybro360 You know what they say about big gloves..... a problem for the manufacturing company.

  • dude im diggin the voodoo

  • ahahah with the finger pucks it depends on your style .... if u want u can do one on each finger or lobster or straight across it just depends on ur preferance

  • oih even cheaper just buy motorbike gloves off ebay, i paid 10bucks for my gloves and theyr sick same product, qualitys not as good but cause the puck takes all the friciton it doesnt matter if the material isnt great!

  • have these still worked?

  • Ya man lower the guard so you don't cut ur fingers off haha

  • how did the velcro just stick to the glove?

  • @Maggos89 all the velcro I've ever bought has an adhesive on the back of it so you can stick the velcro pad on a wall or desk etc. but I'm not sure if that adhesive would hold up while sliding

  • thats a sweeet chair u got there bro

  • Are those leather?

  • y do u hve all those machines

  • hey u didn't lower the guard on the bandsaw a 1/4" ablove the board so ur pinky didn't fit through!

  • the sizing of the gloves is XX-Large, so aren't they way too big? or do they still fit ok?

  • ratatat :)

  • hey i have an idea. Get a hair tie or elastic band or something that will fit around your wrist and wrap it around the glove where it ends, just so when you slide it doesnt drag along and wear

  • really good video, great ideas :)

  • Why not just buy loaded gloves? It's 10$ more than you spent...

  • why didn't u just buy loaded pucks and put them on ur motorcycle gloves

  • just buy the loaded and call it an investment ;)

  • also: DON'T leave sharp edges on your pucks. If you have a sander it is easy to bevel the edges, if you dont then use a 'cheese grater" auto body tool or just get a piece of 50 grit sandapaper and work at it for a while. Or...just go out and rub the sharp edges of the pucks off on the sidewalk. The sidewalm makes great rough sandpaper :D Velcro will stick better to shiny leather(like he has on these gloves)but I still would NOT trust the V-adhesive. GLUE the velcro on and it will stay on.

  • also...when you cut the velcro to stick to the pucks and the gloves ROUND OFF THE CORNERS of the velcro with scissors.. it will make it less likely to peel back later.

  • screw having to sew the velcro on. use Shoegoo or Weldwood Contact Cement and give it a day or two (if it is humid where you live like it is here). works great.and you don't have to by the fancy golves here...get some welding gloves. Even if you don't like the big sleeves...a couple bike pant leg straps(shoegoo'd on)makes them adjustable. You can make great slide gloves for less than 20 to 30 dols.

  • Nice voice break at 7:05 :P

  • Cheap ass...

  • Hacksaw +cutting board= lots of time!

  • 5:09 slide fucks

  • I was wondering if you could give me some suggestions for buying a longboard. I currently have a Sector 9 9 Star, which i use to go down hills and cruise, but i would like to buy a board thats easier to do tricks with. I weigh about 220 and im 6'5. Any suggestions would be great, and I was looking into getting a bamboo board if that helps. Any help is greatly appreciated =)

  • @ORIGAMIears19 Dude you should totally check sector 9's bamboo boards... i have the 46 inch bamboo pintail... and let me tell you IT'S A GREAT DEAL! but you should go for the new Bob Marley's boards... they look sick and you should buy the one that is 40 inch, i recommend you to get a board that is not less than 40 inches because you are kinda tall!

  • @ORIGAMIears19 Check out originals boards. their new carbon apex 37 is sick for tricks slides and freestyle. If i were you i'd get the cruiserweight size. Its a sick board i ordered it and it just came yesterday and i LOVE it

  • Thanks so much dude! Awsome video!

  • my only problem is there's nothing around the house I can use for cutting the cutting board. I was thinking of buying a triple 8 puck set for like $20 and just getting the gloves and Velcro frm the store

  • @TripThaShoelace If you have a gas stove or a blow torch then your set. Get a nice iron rod (or any metal rod not too thick). Heat it up over the stove until its red. Then just carve out the cutting board. The metal will just melt through the plastic. Takes a little long but you get the same result as using a saw if you do it well enough. Remember to burn off the plastic that gets stuck to the rod before reapplying to the board and leave the window open.

  • does the velcro have tape on it or do we need to buy glue? and where do u think i can get all of these materials? (cutting board. velcro, power glue)

  • @kevindaftpunk wallmart has it all i sewed the circle velcro peace then used the adhesive that came with it and a little super glue just for extra support

  • just dip your hand in molten plastic

  • just FYI, I'd use the loop (soft velcro) on the pucks and the hook (rough velcro) on the gloves. the reason for this is that the loop side wears out faster than the hook side. I know this because I've made messenger bags and backpacks and had to replace loop side velcro on a lot of older bags, while the hook held up just fine. on the other hand, since you're leaving the pucks on till they wear out, the velcro will last longer than it would on a messenger bag that gets opened and closed all day.

  • couldent you just buy the loaded slide puck then make the gloves they would last much longer as the puck is way better and standing up against slide and slides easyer prbly only be a little more as well =/

  • There is NO way the adhesive on the velco pads is going to hold against the glove.

  • @IRLtrolls Well it's held up so far!

  • @ECLongboarding same for me lol i got the same exact velcro as in the vid

  • @ECLongboarding Can you use hot glue instead of velcro?

  • @Jake7Videos thats what i wana know

  • @IRLtrolls use some hot glue

  • @IRLtrolls the adhesive on those is really strong, it's industrial strength velcro and it holds up great

  • @IRLtrolls it does work i use em on my gloves

  • @IRLtrolls I have the same velco... (I think) and my gloves hold up perfectly, even on weak gardening glove material.

  • @IRLtrolls and you call yourself a troll, right?

  • @IRLtrolls Most of the force is actually upwards into your hand, not sideways across the pavement. I've got a pair of dollar-store cheapo cotton gloves that seem to work ok.

  • do you still have and use these gloves?

  • @andrewhle Yep, still use them and they're working great. My left hand thumb puck velcro came off though.

  • Nice Vid and Gloves man, also, what was the song at the end of the video?

  • @Hkingsford28 It's Ratatat. The song One from the album 9 Beats.

  • Lol my longboard is on his wall xD

  • I think the scratchy side would be better on the glove because the soft side of the Velcro will fray overtime and you won't be able to use it again because of taking the puck on and off.

  • I see that comet voodoo XL in the background, how does it ride? I plan to get that or the voodoo doll.

  • Make more videos!!!!!!!!

  • is your velcro still on your gloves? and if i use shoe goo aswall as the adhesive that comes with the velcro would there be an even better result?

  • @GingerPowered shoe glue is an excellent idea. The only part that has been an issue is the velcro on the thumbs. and i didn't ever sew it and have still gotten great usage out of these gloves.

  • check out jackets 4 bikes, that is were you could find those gloves and more in that catagory in many sizes

  • @GingerPowered yep thats who I bought mine from on amazon.

  • sewing that velcro wont happen lol the adhesive gets on the needle and it wont work anymore so dont use that if you want to sew it on

  • bro what size cuttuing board did you use?

  • @chloegoesboom13 New camera for christmas!! then some HD videos for next year!!

  • have you sewn the velcro on or decided not to?

  • @THE6POINT0REJECT Nope and they're doing good. I just try to be careful when taking off the pucks so that the velcro doesn't come off with it just to be safe.

  • i have some old dirt bike gloves...will they hold up for this??

  • @dustin102432 yea probably.. try it out

  • @ECLongboarding thanks man...cant wait to get sliding!!

  • Have this gloves held out? I was thinking of making some with cheap hard ware gloves from B and Q, a cutting board and some Velcro. The Velcro has one sticky side, where you peel off some paper and it revels a sticky layer, and one normal layer which can attach to normal velcro. Would you recommend me doing exactly what you did except I have one sticky side rather than a plastic side. Will the stickiness hold out?

  • @EpIcGaMePlAyZz The velcro is holding up great. My velcro is attached with just the sticky side like you're talking about. It is doing really good but I am careful not to pull it too hard when I remove the pucks. The gloves overall are good minus a tear near the thumb but it was my own fault during a fall. I wouldn't recommend buying the cheapest gloves. My first pair fell apart quickly.

  • @ECLongboarding I have put mine together, they are looking good :) I have never slid on my longboard before so I won't really be able to say whether they are good or bad, they seem good though. I will be trying them on the weekend. Its pouring down with rain all the time so far :(

  • Great video, two thumbs up! also, you dont need a sander, just go outside and rub the edges on the cement and it rounds the sharp edges and gets that extra stuff off

  • nice gloves dude they look sick, sweet vid aswell :D
