When the dad says "I want people to stop eating my house.", he has no beard. And the shot goes to his son. And when it goes back to the dad, he has a white beard and mustache. And how would that mustache have gotten there so quickly.

The beard is the cream he was spreading on the house. You can see the creamed smeared over his palm. He put it on to resemble a gingerbread Santa.
