great trade!!!! there is no gaurantied for tyler seguin to reach phils level as an atleast 30 goals every year. and also the fact that phil is only 22 himself, and still improving!! hes gonna get 40 goals this year. and the two other picks they gave away was just garbage compared to phil

I love Burke press conferences.

It's bittersweet though to hear Burke talk about the high price of Kessel. He was absolutely right from day one about the price, but the jury is out on whether or not Kessel is worth it.

Kessel must get it into the best shape of his life this offseason. I believe if he can get stronger, he can score 45 goals next season. He has a god-given natural scoring ability, he just needs to supplement it with hard work and an intense regimen.

The Leafs will get rid of at least one expensive contract after this season is done. They are well below the cap already, and have more than enough room to sign Ilya Kovalchuk. The Leafs top line next season.. the special "K" line... Kadri, Kessel, and Kovalchuk... with defense pairing of Kaberle and Komisarek.

I hope Kessel stays healty thoughout the season. He's a great player and I for one am happy to see him in the blue and white. With the new additions to the blue line and Draft picks such as Kadri, I think the Leafs are in a good possition to make the playoffs. GO LEAFS GO! =D

Great trade for the Leafs, it doesn't matter that we traded our picks away because we picked up bozak hanson and kadri who would all go in the first round anyways. Plus the only player I would be looking into in next years draft is Hall. So good move Burke I just hope he gets cleared to play soon so we can see how he does.

2 big of a gamble on a HURT young talented guy, 2 first and a second was significantly over paying, i would call 2 firsts and a second a good offer for a iginla type player if ever traded, kessel isnt that good... yet... if he gets that good, then burke payed the right price, if he doesnt get that good, burke significantly over payed for a hurt, young, talent, and sadly this will likely be the outcome and the leafs wont draft in the first round for 2 years. It Sucks, for a 36 goal scorer.
