  • Opfra is from Nashville, Tennessee. She was raised in Nashville, went to high School and Tennessee State University based in Nashville. She got her first job as Broadcaster at a small AM R and B formatted radio station reading news copy. She got her first job as News anchor at a local Nashville TV station. She is from Chicago? That is news to me.

  • She is not a global icon! Some Americans are so naive and arrogant that they thing U.S. IS the world. Who Cares about Oprah outside of U.S.?!

  • no one. i do not even think inside the usa

  • Great, Michelle and Oprah, the "Tons of fun twins"...just what we need pushing sports in America.

  • The morbidly obese Oprah, who has never done any physical activity in her entire life, has no real interest in Olympic sports. Oprah is only interesting in stuffing her face and her pockets.

  • Oprah is all about Oprah...and the rich people. The real Chicagoans would be picking up a hefty tab, which they cant afford. Only a select few of Her and obamas pals stood to make any real money and the last couple of Olympics left us with deficts in the BILLIONS. Our prople need help..not more bills.

  • Maybe Obama was thinking of increasing the taxes to the filthy rich people to be able to afford olympic games, and not affect our trillion dollar deficit!

  • Bee: Who knows! he obviously did NOT pass Math...he just doesnt get it or see consequences.China OWNS us now, it's almost too late. His big thing is this REdistribution/ Restitutio crapola, but if he makes the rich (those who actually support this country) poor, they will go away,or thier money will be given to those who have never been able to handle money. then what? My family & I are struggling too, but the last thing we want is to have something handed to us from someone who worked for it.

  • Ha , Chicago got beat by Atlanta in 1996 , they were apparently better than Chicago, Bozo is rolling over in his grave.

  • chicago don't have any money for some games right NOW........

  • America has no MONEY to spend in games right now...It was just declared we aren't the most powerful nation in the world... if we want to bring change we better stop spending! SPENDING BRINGS ON MORE DEBT!! Nothing else... if we dont open our eyes and focus on the important stuff, we are doomed! Obama's idea of change, has masked the crisis, and history will repeat it's self!

  • Damn fucking right! Thank fucking God Chicago did not win.

  • no games chicago...

  • Oprah is an island on to herself

  • Oprah is a legend in her own mind

  • The Olympics will be a wonderful experience. I hope we get the nod.

  • It will be a disaster..bet that.

  • well thats that were now a nation of corptocracy enjoy!

  • I admire you all for standing up for what you believe in. I just wish there was a way yo make everyone happy and have the great city of Chicago host the games.

  • The sad fact is that Dictator Daley does not give a rats ass about what anyone has to say!

  • I dont think we are going to get the olympics.

  • UH... duh you can be heard.. you wre at the CELEBRITY entrance, where oprah was interviewed. Public support is alot wider than the opposition... i volunteer and when the IOC was touring the tennis site..there were about 9 buses of supporters to about 3 protesters

  • I love how Oprah was sneaking a glance at the protesters during her interview. Nice to see Arne Duncan got out of the health club to shill for Daley's Olympic mess!

  • Not as lame as some dork that would want the traveling con-artist show known as the Olympics.

  • I wonder if you'd say that to the face of an olympian?

  • lame. get a life.

  • That protest was hella loud and crazy. We were loud even with the small numbers...the band helped a lot and it was great to see environmental justice groups out there with us.

I can barely hear Oprah in her interview.

  • Yeah, that was the most fun I had at a protest in a long time. It's great to stand up for what is right and have such a good time doing it.
