  • Haven't watch Last Exile for a few years, but hearing this song again makes me tear up :'(

  • kute...sweet song

  • oh this would so fit in the end of code geass.

  • every time i hear this i break into tears because it's an iternal song it touches the deeps of you heart .

  • I might have seen a trailer for this once, is there an english dub?

  • @xUrsusxXX Yah

  • I love this!! <3

  • wow.... ok if you hadn't stated where the song plays in the anime i would have taken it for a remixed song from Code Geass lol! , sounds like a remix of "continued Story" by Kuroishi Hitomi. XD makes sense, i think she did some of the Last Exile sound track as well lol.

  • this is just like FMA bratja track :)

  • love it!!!!!

    ^_^

you could cry just hearing the song!!!!!!

  • It's a good anime, keep the rest of your bullshit for yourself .

  • This is such a beautiful piece of music. ^_^ I loved it and then looked up the English lyrics (as I do not speak Japanese) and loved it even more!

  • it's amazing! I loe that song, but that version is the best!

  • *.*

    Beautiful...

    This is a fantastich song...

    I love this song

    <3

  • This song is so beautiful, it's near unbelievable. It sort of grows in strength and emotion until I'm on the brink of tears, goddammit! ... Well, the tearyness is at least partly because I still remember the anime I guess.

Anyway, if I close my eyes listening to this, it almost feels like I'm among the clouds myself - so damn nice XD

  • (contains spoiler)

This is such an awesome anime, that the remaining... "446," no wait... uh, "424," og nvm. The remaining characters can not describe how beautiful this story is. I almost cried from happiness at the end when I found out Mullin wasn't dead. He my favorite guy. Oh it's so awesome.

  • never seen the anime heard the movie promo for this in a store bought the soundtrack . still one of the best purchases in my life. still havent seen the anime

  • @watcherofthings

If you would like to fix that, its on Hulu, but not on the anime channel. It's in the action/adventure channel and the Funimation channel. Currently both subb and dubb.

  • Just love it !

In the last episode, I cried..

    It's perfeckt.♥

  • Beautiful.

  • Oh my word. Beautiful. So, so beautiful. Makes me wanna watch the show again....

  • I really do like all last exile's song. they are so soothing and somewhat the melody was so lovely and sad at the same time.

  • top quality music - it's almost pitiful that such great music has to stay bound to Last Exile - it should be used beyond that.

  • @caohanlu i agree with that and this wasent even that highly recognized either its the kind of show that all audiences enjoy in my opinion it has love action and of course comedy

  • Quality anime. Very good for that time frame. This is my favorite track.

  • scuse me what happen with alvis to the end of this anime?????

    she alive or die?????

    only is a cuestion XD

  • Alive and live with Claus.

Strange enough, Claus in the end earn all the girls and most are living with him... Nice harem I guess...

  • @yubeldeathfear666 If you watch the last episode, you'll see that she's staying with Claus and Lavie... ^_^

  • Sounds like something from Grandia

  • @venigmatic23 oh god grandia llololololo

  • Great song!

  • i think this version is better then the original

  • A great song of Hitomi Kuroishi. I prefer this version from the album one.

  • One thing I liked particularly about this anime is how the story developes at a good steady pace...as if you're living their lives day to day yourself..kinda funny to say seeing as its only 26 episodes lol...but it's not like many other animes that jump right into everything and try to move too quickly...it allows you time to REALLY get to know each character..size them up..and form either an emotional attachment or a strong dislike for them.

  • Personally, I find this weird how Alex let people on his ship rather easily. The two from the guild for example :p. Also, I dont like how Alex kills a starship pilot in one shot :p.

  • I think it was because he didnt see Dio and Luciola as much of a threat..hmm..and too on second thought i think he knew that Delphine would be coming for her brother. Also there's that whole thing thats in most animes were in some twisted fashion enemies become friends but never REALLY stop being enemies....if that makes any sense WHATSOEVER XD

  • I would also like to add in saying that as the story progresses, you get to know more about the disliked characters and your opinions surprisingly change as you know who they are and where they come from. Fantastic watch!

  • Haha! That's true too!

  • Dio was hecka cool!

  • actually, he survived. He was rescued by a Guild ship in the Grand Stream. I the last episode, he was supose to appear in the farm scene.

  • Nah...he died....the voice actor said so himself.

  • @OinoAray Anime rarely moves that fast. I have the exact opposite complaint with anime. And while I do think this anime has a real time feel to it, that's because it starts where the action is, and it maintains a good pace because it has no filler, not because it's slow or anything.

  • @GadGades Never said it was slow...I said it moves steady.I don't think it's because of the action from the beginning...but because of the fact that it shows even the everyday things that go on outside of all the fighting.By moving faster i mean that other animes skip a lot of things and jump right into strictly the important things. In this anime you get to know the person in depth and in only 26 episodes because of the time spent with each one outside of the Main Story. Its the little things.

  • @OinoAray I disagree, but you're right that you never said slow( I inferred that and I guess I was wrong). By action, I meant that it didn't have filler and focused on the important bits. I don't think this anime and its scenes don't focus on unimportant things. I think it focuses on its main story, and that's why its good. this might just be about semantics about what's considered the main story and important.

  • @OinoAray

"By moving faster i mean that other animes skip a lot of things and jump right into strictly the important things." again, my complaint with almost all anime is the opposite. A day to day writing style wouldn't make sense in a lot of shows but most anime don't know how to make use of the time their given. You're lucky if whatever anime you watch stays focused.

  • @GadGades Well last exile made good use of it and thats why its my favorite above all others. opinion vs opinion baby.

  • @OinoAray i think that is why i like this series myself. you feel as if the characters are real people you know.

  • @IngvartheRanger Exactly. You get to see their day to day lives and even the smaller struggles they have that aren't even significant to the story. Gives more depth to it I believe.

  • @OinoAray I agree. It's why many 13-episode animé series tend to be a bit of a failure or never reach full potential (Elfen Lied, for example... awesome but too short).

I'm quite partial to 52 episode animé series since you get plenty of time for character and plot development :)

Last Exile was particularly brilliant for its Steampunk-esque concepts and artworks, coupled with a moving soundtrack... the English dub, however, was spoiled by a certain annoying female voice.

  • @RustyBinProductions I didn't mind Lavie's voice after a while. Actually, Claus's voice in the original annoyed me :p

  • @RustyBinProductions Tatiana Wisla?

  • @OinoAray i know i luv this show it makes me want to be in the sky w/them more but i REALLY love the 12 kingdoms its so good and just real in its own way i recommend you watch it youll be hooked

  • @OinoAray That steady pace may be found boring but I agree with you. Besides, there are many things from different cultures and there are many feelings, thoughts from everyday life in this anime. I liked "Wolf's Rain" as this anime. Everyone has his own story and dreams.

  • This is the first anime that made me cry...and then this ending song just brought it home for me... I'm getting emotional just listening to it

  • Heheh, watch grave of the fireflies.

  • I Have. I'd have to say while it was a sad movie...last exile got to me more.

  • I can't watching on this serie's...I just love them TO MUCH!

;) If some here haven't seen it, I hardly recommand you it :)

  • I dont really like the series that much, but this song at the end made me rethink

  • I like the song, it's very nice. Thanks for uploading! Right now I'm thinking about whether or not watch the episodes.

What kind of Anime is "Last Exile"? Is it a Shonen?

  • @MrsCabecilla No idea, but that's what I like about it. You can't really pin it down into a certain anime genre. It actually feels more like Star Wars to me than anything else; Star Wars and Final Fantasy.

  • This makes me just picture the whole series in my mind. It encompasses the series so well. :D

    Very emotional.

  • As unmanly as this sounds this song made me tear up when I heard it come on at the end of the series, simply was that good =)

  • @LoneWolf667 Same here. Damn, it really hit me when they played it at the end. Glad to know I wasn't the only unmanly one.

  • @LoneWolf667

I also felt teardrops forming to my eyes, so you're not the only one. :')

  • I love this song, its so beautiful. its very helpful if you want to go to sleep, it pust me to sleep! love it!

  • LOL... works for me too... not that it's boring, it's like a lullaby.

  • Yeah...

  • That is actually a very good idea, let me have a try :)

  • Have you try yet?

  • yep, it works, same for utada hikaru's songs :)

  • Cool! Glad it works for ya! ^_~

  • I also like Utada Hikaru! I think she sounds better live! ^_^

  • Comment removed

  • This song is sung by angels! I love it so much! It's one of the few songs that really deeply moves me. Thank you for sharing:)

  • I love this version of the song so much. When I first heard it on the last episode I cried T_T maybe it was the visuals? maybe it was the song? hey! maybe it was both!!

  • Amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • does anyone hear that bass?...woooow. Simple but it sounds amazing.

  • The bass is indeed really nice on my subwoofer.

  • This is a song I would have played at my funeral, just before being put into the ground. Sadness and promise of better things to come.

  • LOVE IT!

  • One of the best anime, if not the best, anime I heve ever seen! ICHI BAN!!!

  • Yes it is... this atmosphere from the kind of painting which was used from RANGE MURATA is the GREATEST ... and with that nice and not to shourt story its realy the best anime ever...(i sow round 250 animes and there is no ather which are that good!!

  • I love this song and the anime, but I for one am really glad they didn't unnecessarily drag it out any longer.

    I wouldn't mind a "Last Exile 2", though...

  • But Exile no longer exists on Prester.

  • Heh, little details like that never stopped people from making sequels to other things.

  • That ain't no little detail, that's the basis for the entire series.

  • I know, that's why I was joking; I'd hoped the "heh" hinted at that. My point is that if killing all the characters and all the aliens didn't stop people from making Alien Resurrection, then I think in general there's a bit of leeway for making sequels.

  • If anything, the series needs a prequel movie or short season, not a sequel, like what Eureka seveN is getting. The only shot we saw of the budding Delphine (which we happened to see multiple times, the scene being where the Lavie and Claus's dad's die) was one really great shot.

I generally don't take 'heh" as a "joking" thing.

  • Strange, because a heh tends to mean "laughing". Do you know what "laughing" is? Geez, I make an off-hand comment about how writers like to drag popular series on past what is reasonable, and you had to make a whole thing out of it.

For the record, though, I agree with you that a prequel would be better. Besides, when I said "Last Exile 2" I didn't necessarily mean taking place directly after; just that I'd like to see more of the concept, setting and characters.

  • i uses "heh" for a laugh-ish thing...

  • i think you're confusing "heh" with "huh"...

  • No, I wasn't.

    You say "heh" right now.

There is a reason heh is used after "eh", because it is used as a weary laugh, because it means you are uncertain. Thus, "eh heh heh" was born.

Or else you'd use "Ah ha ha", which is a certain laugh.

  • you just contradicted yourself by saying heh could be used as a laugh... and this entire argument is obscenely pointless, just give it a rest

  • No, actually, where did I say it wasn't a laugh?

"eh heh heh" can be "Really?", just like "heh" can be "really?"

  • What a great song to bring an end to a great anime series, wish they made it longer though.

  • This song is perfection at its best. The OST of this anime really sets a high bar for all others.

  • simplemente hermoso...

this song kinda makes me feel like if i were high but much better

just sit.. dont think of nothing and enjoy the music

  • just love it

  • A great song, I always like it when a theme throughout the series is enhanced for the final credits.

My only complain with this series is the ending seemed rushed... I think one more episode is all they would have needed to explain Exile a little better, and to make the final war with Delphine a little more climactic and less meshed all together.

  • It's so beautiful that I could cry...

  • sencillamente.....hermoso!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I really wished they had kept going with it.

  • It was damn good but... It ends pretty definitively at episode 26...

  • I wished this anime should've continu

  • This is such a beautiful song. I haven't watched the series yet, because I'm watching an other anime at the moment. But I heared this song in the last episode and I loved it! *-*

  • i love this song, the original is stunning on it's own, this one... it comes like a breath, it feels like air, excellently made for this anime :D

  • HELP! PLEASE! In the episode Castling lucciola when Lucciola is in fron of Delphine and she is asking him what does Dio mean to him, a song is played... CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THAT SONG IS CALLED? PLEASE!

    thank u

  • what episode number is it?

  • that would be "Lost Friends", track 10 in the second OST. :) i think it sounds really beautiful~

  • I think last exile has one of the best opening and ending, all shall bow down!!!

  • You should listen to "Tori no Uta"

  • Ahhh...

  • this is one of those beautiful songs that makes you enjoy being alive again.....

kind of like shiki no uta from samurai champloo. amiright?

  • the best ending theme ever!!It was the first time I left the ending theme play in all 26 episodes! Most of the times I let it play over and over...

  • pretty song

  • this is soo beutiful and relaxing :)

  • yes=)

  • The first part reminds me eerily of One Piece somehow.

  • you're right..

  • Why?

  • It's very beautiful. Love it!

  • -Air high fives- Fantastic song! It's one of those "Play it off your laptop, sit down infront of the fireplace and read a good e-Book." type songs. Thanks for the upload!

    Cheers!

  • i dont smoke but i wonder how it would feel to listen to this high...

  • ermosooooooooooooooooooo

  • omg i looked for this song EVERYWHERE!! :3

THANKYOU SOOO MUCH FOR PUTTING IT ON XD

  • Why thank?

Can you take it from the video somehow? :O

If so, i'd like to know how :P

  • You find the clip it was off of. and get windows movie maker (even thogh wmm sucks XD)

and move teh clips into the sound bar and save it to a movie file and there you go. but

if you have limewire you can just get it from there lol. XD Thanks for replying :P

  • But how that with movie maker? I can't copy the movie or something!

  • unless you find the downloadable movie on the internet ._.

  • EVERYONE LOVES LAST EXILE OFC! it just rox the serie but only 26 episodes :( And this song is awesome ;) aswell as Opening Cloud age symphony :D

  • Ohh gotta cry!

This song is to good, and the series is ended! *sniff*
