I kind of get annoyed by how Idol contestants become so formatted. I never thought of him as a country artist during his run on the show, he's a blues artist. But blues isn't a profitable genre at the moment, so he decidedly "becomes" country. It's decent, but I just don't like the whole formatting guidelines he essentially was conformed to.
