"Tim" was Johnny's stepson. He was a kid when Johnny married his mother in 1972 and grew up living with his mom and Johnny until they divorced in the early 80's.
A dark time in America. Hey, Pink Floyd (Another Brick in the Wall), The Stones (Miss You), and Blondie (Heart of Glass were cashing in on disco, (or at least the beat).
Thanx, i bet if i can't find it on Ebay, i should be able to come across someone who has it and willing to trade/sell to me...thats how i got my hands on the audio of a performance from her in "Gypsy" on Broadway! After my audio of Jennifer Holliday's last performance on Broadway in "Dreamgirls" its one of my prized possessions in my collection! :)
Johnny does not interrupt her all the time, he is in fact a classy host, very deferring to her and warm, all that and flying high on pure Colombian cocaine. Pretty cool. And Ethel is perfection. They don't make 'em like that anymore.
Absolutely incredible that you saved this on tape! I remember when this Ethel Merman Disco album came out and Ethel did some gay club dates in San Francisco.
FRANK SINATRA said it right:"U CAN WAIT AROUND AND HOPE ,BUT YOU"LL NEVER C THE LIKE"S OF THIS AGAIN" ETHEL ALWAY"S GAVE ME A SMILE,SUCH A BROADWAY LEGEND,MISS HER SO!!!!
The Beach Boys did disco, too.

Jeez, you would think he'd let her speak, and not talk over over her the whole time. That would really piss me off!
