@WeatherMondacicci Someone can not have a full identity if he or she submits to the will of a god. Basically you follow as much as you can the example of muhammed, the morals dictated in the quran etc. The only thing you can do is to submit and to surpress your own will. You have no choice, or do you? A full identity requires the freedom of counscious, thought and expressing. It is not up to you what is moral or not, the quran decides! It doesnt matter what u think, your thoughts are secondary

I don't knock atheists, I think you have some valid questions and it would take more than just a Youtube comment to explain my views. Yes Islam is about submission to God, in a way, I feel that they are right, to a point. I think God should be acknowledged and worship. I am not a person that is shy to criticize Islam myself and I think that all religions should be criticized
Respond to this video... and question and one should choose a path that best fits their spirituality. I am in Islam for spiritual attainment, not dogma. I do believe that parts of the Quran are divinely inspired, however, it was compiled some 100 years after the death of the Prophet Muhammed and, of course, human nature being what it is, it may have been tampered by the enemies of Muhammed in order to merge their pre-Islamic culture into this new religion.
Respond to this video... I feel that Islam has some good points but like many religious INSTITUTIONS it has been corrupted. I feel this way about any religion, even Ifa or Hinduism. I do believe that God tried to convey a message but it has been corrupted by man. Religion has been turned into tool to instill fear (hellfire and torture) and control over masses of people and that the underlying, or core message (peace, love, and self- spiritual attainment, has been pushed aside

I am a plural spiritualist that reverted to Islam after 9 years. I love Islam's basics but trying to follow everything would drive me crazy.
