Hazardous arrival in Ketchikan, Alaska. (X-Plane Flight Sim)

You had a bit too much flare there buddy resulting your plane to glide way further into the runway. There is no need for THAT much nose pitching.

........True enough gents. This is only a vague virtual rendition of Ketchikan, Alaska for the X-Plane. The hazardous part (if you can actually call it hazardous) are the birds in the vicinity of the airport. Nothing more dramatic than that.

I fly a real plane at my home base, and it always gives me pause, as I the wheels of my plane leaves the ground, and I see a big flock of birds, flying in all directions, completely oblivious to the airplane in their near vicinity.

I agree with ...404/ doesn't look at all like KTN. I just left there 6 Sep 07 so might be the software just uses something of a generic scene? I think it would have been better of the software had used actual scenes and not generic stuff.

Ketchikan landings are always fun but that doesn't even look like ketchikan.

Actually, the hazardous part is when you're coming in with a 40 mph SE wind and driving rain and you slam down hard, bouncing three times but you're just happy you landed at all.
