  • thats a 59 plymouth

  • The title says 1957.

    The license plate says 1959.

  • Plymouth is gone because poor people are not permitted to buy brand new cars anymore.....Think about it.....

  • With gas at 15 cents a gallon, you could go on cross-country trips! That is real RAP music... I like it!!

  • The swing-out seats are awesome!

  • 1959

  • 57's were the best ones. NOT this 59

  • Yeah, $2,254 was a great price...unless you made only $5,000 a year, like average workers earned back then! My dad was a high-paid executive at a whopping $200 a week. Lawrence Welk was known to be tight with a buck...he paid scale to all of his performers...so this cast, entirely from the Welk show, likely made similar salaries, and got nothing extra for appearing in spots like these.

  • Like she knows what a torsion bar is!

  • By today, trade tomorrow!!! :(

  • Yeah that 1959 Plymouth was a real breakthough in 1957

  • I LOVE the 2nd spot! So well put together!

  • wow i will buy one at that price ! i live 72 miles away from Plymouth UK we all wish we had a plant making these Babies these days! cracking advert

  • My God!! $2254,80!!!

If they would sell cars that big for such a price today!!

  • Yes, 'dandy'; Chrysler's Plymouth division sponsored Lawrence Welk in a second series (in addition to his Saturday night "DODGE DANCING PARTY") from 1956 through '59- it was originally titled "LAWRENCE WELK'S TOP TUNES AND NEW TALENT" on Mondays- then it moved to Wednesday nights as "THE PLYMOUTH SHOW" in the fall of 1958. These live commercials were seen on the show in late 1958.

  • is that that one plymouth fro christine? I want that car!

  • Yes, that IS a '59. Nascent infomercial!! This is awesome!!

  • christine was a 1958 plymouth fury!!

  • I believe this a 1959 Plymouth

  • Wasn't Plymouth a sponsor of Lawrence Welk? I recognized Larry Hooper and that deep bass voice.

  • That gal @ 1.43 is Alice Lon, the original champagne lady from the Welk show.
